Two of the dark horses of the Lightweight division lock horns in this weekend’s main event when Arman Tsarukyan meets Mateusz Gamrot. In the co-main Neil Magny faces undefeated 15-0 prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov and Thiago Moises goes head-to-head with Christos Giagos in an intriguing Lightweight battle. We take a look at my three best bets on this weekend’s UFC card below.
UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Arman Tsarukyan vs Mateusz Gamrot
While casual fans may argue this main event lacks a star name, MMA lovers rejoice as Arman Tsarukyan and Mateusz Gamrot throw down. Tsarukyan was thrown a shark straight away in his UFC debut in 2019 stepping in on late notice bout against Islam Makhachev. In that bout he pushed the Dagestani to the limit but ultimately lost by decision. Since that loss, however, he has won his last five, registering two knockout wins in his last two.
Gamrot also fell short in his UFC debut against Guram Kutateladze before going on to win his last three. These two fighters match up incredibly well and really it could go either way. However, Tsarukyan has the wrestling advantage and seems slightly more polished at this stage in their respective careers. So back him to get his hand raised.

Carlos Ulberg vs Tafon Nchukwi
Carlos Ulberg came into his UFC debut with a mountain of hype but fell to Kennedy Nzechukwu in one of the all-time entertaining slug fests. What impressed me is Ulberg’s shortcomings in that fight were abundantly clear and he obviously went away and worked hard on them as he completely demolished Fabio Cherant in his fight since. He also impressively showed greatly improved cardio and patience.
Tafon Nchukwi has a lot to learn still and I just don’t see it going well for ‘Da Don’. Ulberg has a clear advantage on the feet and I think Nchukwi will struggle to get him backing up or take him down. As long as the Kiwi doesn’t gas out like he did in his UFC debut he simply wins this fight.
Ulberg to win

J.P. Buys vs Cody Durden
J.P Buys fell short in his UFC debut against Bruno Silva and then went down to Montel Jackson next time out. His UFC career is on the line here when he meets Cody Durden, with an 0-3 start likely the end. Luckily for the South African Durden gasses badly when he is forced to scramble and that is Buys’ biggest strength.
While Buys still has a long way to go he appears to have the desire to make it in the UFC and meets a relatively linear test here in Durden.
Buys scrambles hard early and wears down Durden as the fight progresses on route to his first UFC win.
