Bendigo Racing Club gets a rare chance to host Saturday Racing in Victoria with the running of the Golden Mile which comes up in race nine on the program. Enexuto is the favourite but has to overcome a wide barrier in 16. A warm day of 30 degrees is expected and runners will race on a Good surface.

Bendigo Racing Tips: Saturday, April 12th 2025
Race 1: Off The Track Handicap - 12:05pm (AEST)
(4) Steel Run can hopefully get punters off to a good start with a win in the first. He ran on well at Flemington when 5th on resumption from a break and then he was unlucky at The Valley last start when 9th over 2500m. This race is easier than both of those races and with fitness in the legs after those runs he should be ready to step it up now. He will likely settle in the back half of the field so the long straight here should assist. Michael Dee takes the ride and gets a kilo relief.
(2) Zulu Angel will likely settle a pair in front of Steel Run and the Dry track is key here. She has won 6 from 21 starts on Good tracks.
(5) Dschingis Prestige might want a Soft track but can't be left out of it. Ran on well and almost got there at The Valley last start but still he hasn’t won in 5 attempts on the Good.
(4) Steel Run WIN
$2.60 (3 Units)
Race 5: Bendigo Mazda Handicap - 2:20pm (AEST)
(5) Monolo Bling has a pretty good record over this distance and has won first up before. In the lead up to this run he has won a Cranbourne trial and looked good in doing so and a Good track suits. He will settle handy in the run and Tom Prebble should get every chance with a good run. Drops 6kg for this.
(11) Landmark drops weight which will help with his powerful finish. This is harder but his 3rd at Hillside last start after running on well was solid.
(3) Sweethearted is the favourite and has good credentials for this. He has won twice on Dry ground from 4 attempts and he likes the 1100m. Many pundits said he was the black booker last start.
(5) Monolo Bling WIN
$4.40 (2 Units)
Race 10: Smartloans Bendigo Handicap - 5:25pm (AEST)
(12) Pivot City hit the line well at The Valley last start when a long way behind at the 400m and Bendigo should be more to his liking. He won here at his only effort here and the longer straight helped. He goes to 1300m for the first time but from barrier one he shouldn’t get caught wide in the large field. There should be pace on which suits and he is one to watch for late.
(15) Proved is unbeaten and will go forward. All wins have been on Dry tracks which he gets again and Carleen Hefel stays on after winning three times on top previously.
(7) Asgarda won well at Albury last start on a wet track but this is harder. She has won 3 times on Dry ground before though and she looks like she will get a good run 4th to sit midfield.
She has won 7 from 18 and deserves her chance in Saturday grade.
(12) Pivot City WIN
$3.50 (3 Units)
