The next chapter of the Battle of Brookvale will take place on Sunday afternoon, as the Storm head to the northern beaches to take on the Sea Eagles. The Storm are off their first loss of the season last week to the Dragons, so expect a much more polished performance this week. The Sea Eagles, meanwhile, will have to do it all again without their superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic, who is out for around a month with a knee injury. Let’s preview this clash.

Match Preview
The Sea Eagles welcome the Storm to Fortress Brookvale after a tough win last week over the Eels. It wasn’t just tough because of the closeness (Sea Eagles won 26-12), but the fact they AGAIN lost Tom Trbojevic to injury. Whilst Lehi Hopoate played well deputising for Turbo, it’s another massive blow for the Sea Eagles, who now have to face the Storm who rarely lose two in a row.
Moving onto the Storm, and they were outmuscled by the Dragons last week at Jubilee Stadium, going down 14-8. The Storm had far more ball, and the better of the ball, but it wasn’t enough, as their attack looked flat without Jahrome Hughes. You’d be a braver man than me though if you don’t predict a bounce back this week from the Storm.
These teams have played so many cracking games over the years, yet somehow the NRL thought it was smart to only have them meet once last year. They met in round 12 at 4 Pines Park, which has been a real fortress for the Sea Eagles over the Storm. The Storm closed 4.5-point road favourites, with a total of 46.5. In a cracking game of football, the Sea Eagles snuck home, winning 26-20, after leading 12-0 after half an hour. If you’re looking for a reason it could happen again, look at the fact the Sea Eagles were without superstar fullback Tom Trbojevic, and they still won. Can they do it again?
The lookahead had this game as a pick em’, however with the loss of Trbojevic this game re-opened at Storm -5.5. Some money has come in on the Sea Eagles, however the difference between 4.5 and 5.5 is negligible. I make the Storm a 6-point favourite without Jahrome Hughes. With the news Hughes could be a late inclusion, I think we have to take the Storm to cover. Smaller outlay for now, however if Hughes is named and you can get under 6, double your outlay.
Storm -4.5

Leg 1: Storm ML – The Storm should be too good here, and the odds aren’t too bad.
Leg 2: Reuben Garrick (1+ try) – The last time Turbo missed a game, Garrick took control of this Sea Eagles attack, managing to score four tries and break the line three times.
Leg 3: X Coates (1+ try) – Three tries from three games for the rangy winger, expect Coates to be in and around the action again this week.
SGM Odds: $7.50 at BoomBet
