2024 AFL Round 5 Tips
Thursday April 11th
To begin Round 5 in the AFL we have a heavyweight battle between the Demons and the Lions at the MCG. Both teams are coming off strong wins in Gather Round, which sets up a must-watch battle at the home of footy.
Friday April 12th
The Bulldogs were unable to overcome the Cats last weekend and now face a tricky test against a Bombers side that will be desperate to make amends for a poor outing against the Power. Friday night footy should be a good one!
Saturday April 13th
The Giants are humming along at 4-0 and have another seemingly easy kill on their hands in the Saints. However, the Saints have already knocked over the reigning premiers and will be eyeing off another boilover.
The Blues remain undefeated with a controversial win against the Dockers last weekend. They now face the Crows who are at the opposite end of the ladder with a 0-4 record. Will current trends continue?
Is the honeymoon phase between Dimma and the Suns already over? They've lost back to back games since starting the season 2-0. Surely they will bounce back against the winless Hawks this weekend?
The Power rebounded from their disappointing loss against the Demons will a dominant win over the Bombers in Gather Round. However, they now face a much tougher test in Round 5 where they'll host the 3-1 Dockers at Adelaide Oval.
Sunday April 14th
Sunday's double-header begins at the Cattery with the Cats vs Kangaroos. One side is currently undefeated and the other winless. Is there any chance of an upset here?
The winless Eagles host the 1-4 Tiger in the final game of Round 5. The Eagles showed plenty of fight against the Swans last weekend and will see this fixture as a very winnable one.
