Match Preview
Adelaide started the 2025 season on fire with three straight wins, but they've hit a bit of a road block lately, dropping back-to-back games to the Suns and the Cats. Even so, their forward line remains electric—averaging a league-best 120 points per game, making them the most potent attacking side in the comp
Defensively, though, they've shown some cracks. Last week against Geelong, they conceded 119 points and struggled to contain ground-level threats, particularly in transition. It's an area they'll need to tighten up, especially with GWS coming to town.
The Giants have had a strong start themselves, sitting at 4-1. They opened the season with a thumping win over Collingwood and have only stumbled once—against a quality Hawks outfit. But their road form has been a bit shaky. While they've won two of their three away games, those victories haven't been overly convincing. A narrow three-point win over Melbourne in Round 1 doesn't look as impressive now, considering the Demons' struggles, and they let a five-goal lead slip against Hawthorn to lose by two goals.
Historically, GWS has had the upper hand in this matchup, winning four of the last five meetings. However, the Crows did notch a 16-point win in their most recent clash at Adelaide Oval last year. That home-ground advantage could be crucial again.
Team-wise, Adelaide regains key defender Nick Murray, which should bolster their backline. James Peatling is out due to suspension. For the Giants, they've been forced into a significant change with last season's Coleman Medal winner, Jesse Hogan, sidelined through injury. His absence could blunt their forward potency.
All things considered, this feels like a pivotal game for the Crows. After two straight losses, they'll be desperate to get back on track. With their firepower up front and the comfort of playing at home, they should have enough to outgun the Giants and return to the winners' circle.

Ben Keays 2+ Goals – After a great year last year, Keays has continued his good form in 2025 with 11 goals from 5 games. He’s kicked multiple goals 3 times and remains great value.
Darcy Jones 2+ Goals – The Crows don’t have a whole lot of speed in their defence and that’s certainly something Jones possesses. He’ll be someone that should generate a number of chances in a favourable matchup.
SGM Odds: $5.25 at BoomBet
