Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, April 11th 2025

Race 1: Hkjc World Pool Fernhil Mile – 1600m – 11:45am (AEST)

(1) Tupakara $3.20:  2YO Filly out of Trapeze artist who has been honest enough in all four career runs. Fitter again and worth some thought.

(4) Michelangelo $4.20: 2YO Colt who has ran respectively in open grade. Would like to see him on the dry ground, but worth thought.

(7) Lady Pankhurst $5.50:  2YO Filly who was sound last start and will be fitter again. Out to the mile now though. Watch the market.

TIP: NO BET

Race 2: Bisley Workwear South Pacific Classic - 1400m - 12:20pm (AEST)

(1) Pisces $21.00/$5.00:  3YO gelding who has some handy form lines and goes well over 1400m. Terrific when second up and boasted some slick times first up. Will only be improving. Blow out hope.

(5) Nostringsattached $4.50: 3YO Colt who is looking to remain unbeaten this prep. He has returned sensationally and continues to win. Shinn remains on top and he stays at this trip. Main danger.

(9) Mawjood $5.50:  3YO gelding who has been terrific in his last three runs and that included a nice win at Randwick two back. Draws well and looks a good chance.

TIP: NO BET

Race 3: Provincial-midway Championship Final - 1400m – 12:55pm (AEST)

(1) Matcha Latte $3.80: 5YO gelding who has been honest and was gritty winning last start. Draws well and will take catching.

(2) Lord Of Biscay $3.80:  5YO Gelding who looks a great bet in the Championship Final. He has been superb in his last three runs with a strong third up win in the Ballina Cup where he travelled 3 wide no cover from the 800-600m mark and managed to kick on the bend and win by 3L. His next run was back over 1400m and he got caught 3 wide the trip without cover and knuckled down to only miss in a photo finish. Meets MATCHA LATTE out of that race again, but gets a 1.5kg swing in his favour. He draws a gate today and gets the booking of James McDonald. He has a nice record over this trip and has trialled nicely between that last run. Looks to be the top hope.

(3) Magnatear $14.00/$3.60:  Honest enough type who was solid to the line last start behind French Ruler. Meets him again here, but gets a weight swing in his favour. Draws well and will get a much better run in transit. Value pick.

(2) Lord Of Biscay

$3.80 (2 Units)

Race 4: The Star Percy Sykes Stakes - 1200m – 1:30pm (AEST)

(1) Within The Law $4.60: Had been racing well with 3 wins from 4 before losing the rider in the slipper. Ready to bounce back and will have some admirers.

(2) Tempted $3.20:  2YO Filly who has also been racing well and was a strong finisher in the golden slipper. J-Mac steers and will be hitting the line strongly again. Wide draw the concern.

(10) Sequista $12.00/$3.40:  Roughie of the field who was good on debut. Resumes today with two nice trials leading in. Watch the market.

TIP: NO BET

Race 5: Arrowfield 3YO Sprint – 1200m – 2:05pm (AEST)

(1) Private Life $7.00: Freshened 3YO colt who rates really well for this and has the Caulfield guineas win etched next to his name. Frosty Lane for Waller. Will be around the mark.

(4) Gatsby’s $20.00/$3.60:  3YO Colt who has plenty of potential but has been below his best of late. Gets back onto the soft track which is where he has done all his best work, so consider. Blow out hope.

(8) Autumn Glow $1.50:  3YO Filly who remains unbeaten and looks very hard to beat again. Draws well, J-Mac stays on and will only be improving off the first up win. Looks a nice anchor in a multi, but probably too short for my liking.

TIP: NO BET

Race 6: Asahi Super Dry Australian Oaks - 2400m – 2:40pm (AEST)

(1) Leica Lucy $4.00: 3YO Kiwi Filly who is chasing 6 wins in a row and is looking to spoil the Treasurethe Moment party. J-Mac jumps on which boosts confidence. Gets the pole position and looks to have everything in her Favor to go close. One to watch if she can stack her Kiwi form up here.

(2) Treasurethe Moment $1.70: 3YO Filly who just continues to win and win well. She cannot be faulted and has lovely CV. Draws well, rock hard fit and looks more than capable of 2400m. Hard to beat.

(5) Verona Rose $11.00/$2.30:  Value pick of the race. Showed some nice late sectionals and looks like she’ll improve over further. Knockout hope.

TIP: NO BET

Race 7: Schweppes Sydney Cup - 3200m – 3:15pm (AEST)

(1) Duke De Sessa $9.50/$2.80: 6YO Gelding who has been super in all three runs this trop and was only knocked off by the classy Dubai Honour in the Tandred. Looks like he will stay the trip and will be peak fitness for this. Go well.

(8) Alalcance $2.50:  Tipped this mare last start and she continues to impress. She just doesn’t stop and continues to explode and put them all to the sword. Deserves to be favourite for this, but will need to overcome the wide draw this week. The one to beat.

(14) Tajanis $34.00/$6.80:  Returns back to Aus after a very impressive run over this distance in NZ. He was terrific weaving in and out of traffic to almost win, but was narrowly beaten by  Trav who had a clear run down the outside. Proven over the trip after that effort and has had a few weeks off. Blow out hope.

(8) Alalcance

$2.50 (4 Units)

Race 8: The Queen Elizabeth Stakes- 2000m – 3:55pm (AEST)

(1) Dubai Honour $6.00: 7YO gelding who we tipped last start and he was very impressive. This is tougher again, but he will only be improving and has a great second up record and is 1 from 1 at this track/distance. Sticky gate, but with a little luck he will be around the mark.

(5) Tom Kitten $18.00/$3.90:  Honest type who is hard fit and continues to match it with the best. Gets a lovely draw and will be around the mark. Watch for him late.

(12) Via Sistina $1.80:  7YO Mare who is clearly the most talented in the field and continues to ooze class and win well. Draws well and loves this track. Yet to win over this trip though. Hard to beat.

TIP: NO BET

Race 9: Tab Queen Of The Turf Stakes - 1600m – 4:35pm (AEST)

(1) Fangirl $2.00: 6YO Mare who has return in good order. Sensational first up win and then has been terrific in defeat the next two runs. Gets a slightly easier affair here and draws a handy gate. J-Mac steers and she rates really well. Happy to be on.

(2) Stefi Magnetica $5.00:  We have continued to be bullish on this mare who had been luckless and had a forgive run, but we continued to stick with her and she rewarded us last weekend at a big price. Gets a handy barrier here and will only be improving off that confidence booster. Goes well.

(3) Atishu $7.00:  7YO Mare who hasn’t been the worst of late, but finally gets into a winnable race. Back to WFA with the other females. Draws well and Nash steers. Will be launching late.

(1) Fangirl

$2.00 (5 Units)

Race 10: Sapphire Stakes - 1200m – 5:10pm (AEST)

(1) Lady Laguna $10.00/$2.80: Roughie of the field who was never likely when resuming after being too far back. Improves second up and rates well here. Group 1 winner. Respect.

(4) Estriella $6.00/$2.10: 4YO Mare who looks to be back into a winnable race now with the drop to Group 2 level with set weights. She was never likely in the Group 1 Galaxy last start where she drew wide and had to travel 3 wide the entirety. Last prep she won the Group 2 Millenium Sprint and has a good record at this level. Blake SHINN gets back into the saddle who has won 3 from 6 when aboard. She gets a nice draw today and maps to dictate the race to her liking. Terrific third up record and handles the soft track. Ready to bounce back.

(5) Commemorative $2.50: Terrific two and three runs back and then got badly held up last start, but still hit the line nicely when found a run. Unbeaten on the soft track and goes well over this track/trip. Fitter again and worth thought.

(4) Estriella E/W

$6.00/$2.10 (1U/2U)
