The home of the UFC, the Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts yet another Fight Night as Cory Sandhagen meets Song Yadong in a crucial Bantamweight clash. Also on the card are emerging Heavyweights Tanner Boser and Rodrigo Nascimento and a fascinating match up that pits Andre Fili and Bill Algeo against each other. We take a look at my three best bets on this weekend’s card below.
UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Cory Sandhagen vs. Song Yadong
Cory Sandhagen comes into this bout with not much to gain other than getting back to the Bantamweight elite. He has suffered losses to current champion Aljamain Sterling, top contender TJ Dillashaw and former champion Petr Yan. However, for Song Yadong a win over Sandhagen could thrust him into a title eliminator.
Song has a horror match up here. ‘The Sandman’ boasts a significant reach advantage, fantastic movement, and an array of strikes. On the ground he is also quite adept at wrapping up sneaky submissions. Song may have power in his hands, but he is going to find himself outclassed and beaten up. Sandhagen may be a step behind the big three in the division, but he is still clear of the chasing pack.

Tony Gravely vs. Javid Basharat
After coming through the Contender Series, Tony Gravely enters the Octagon on a two-fight win streak where he most recently demolished Johnny Muniz Jr in just 68 seconds. His opponent Javid Basharat is a perfect 12-0 as a pro but this is without a doubt his hardest test to date. He also went through the Contender Series gaining a contract with an impressive victory before outworking Trevin Jones on route to a decision win in his UFC debut.
Gravely is such a constantly overlooked Bantamweight. He has elite wrestling, and his striking is improving every time he steps out. In this match up I expect he mixes his striking with his takedowns to outwork Basharat over 15 minutes and take his 0.

Mariya Agapova vs. Gillian Robertson
Mariya Agapova had one of the steepest UFC rises of a female to ever step in the Octagon but came crashing back to earth in an upset for the ages when she gassed out against Shana Dobson. Since that loss she has gone 1-1 and faces a veteran here in Gillian Robertson. Robertson is a strong grappler but that is pretty much all she has and even that isn’t strong enough to beat the elite in the division. However, Agapova has cardio issues and grappling deficiencies which should be enough for Robertson to take advantage of. She likely stops Agapova sometime from the halfway point on by her signature rear naked choke.
