Women’s strawweight contenders Marina Rodriguez and Amanda Lemos headline this weekend’s Fight Night card out of the UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the co-main Neil Magny and Daniel Rodriguez go toe-to-toe in a fight which will likely raise one man to contender status and Mark Madsen puts his undefeated record on the line when he faces rising prospect Grant Dawson. We take a look at my three best bets on this weekend’s UFC card below.
UFC Fight Night Betting Tips
Marina Rodriguez vs. Amanda Lemos
Marina Rodriguez comes into this clash on the verge of receiving a title shot. She has lost just once since making her UFC debut in 2018 and that was to current champion Carla Esparza. That outcome was also a split decision loss which I personally scored in The Brazilian’s favour.
Amanda Lemos took the promotion by storm and is 6-1 in the UFC with her sole loss coming to former champion Jessica Andrade. While I must admit Lemos has the greater finishing potential, I cannot go past Rodriguez. Rodriguez fights so well behind her jab and picks apart her opponents with combinations. She also managed to turn away both Michelle Waterson and Mackenzie Dern. I don’t see Lemos being able to take this to the ground and control Rodriguez and therefore I am backing the Brazilian to notch up another win.

Liudvik Sholinian vs. Johnny Munoz Jr.
Johnny Munoz Jr. is a hit or miss fighter. His eleven career wins consist of seven submissions and two knockouts. In his last fight he was knocked out by Tony Gravely in just over a minute but will like his chances to return to the winner’s circle against Liudvik Sholinian. Sholinian has one real way to win and that is through his pace and pressure. However, the pressure works in Munoz Jr’s favour as he can use the forward momentum to take his foe to the mat and from there it is likely a wrap. Bank on Munoz Jr.

Tamires Vidal vs. Ramona Pascual
I will be honest I tossed up whether or not to make this pick as neither woman should be fighting in the UFC. Tamires Vidal may be 6-1, with her only loss coming to the promising Karol Rosa but she is blaringly one-dimensional away from some decent jiu jitsu. She has very sloppy striking and weak wrestling, making even her jiu jitsu skillset underutilised.
Ramona Pascual isn’t anything special but she has the striking and strength to obliterate Vidal. Pascual is a bully in the clinch and Vidal likes to get in the pocket and look for trips and looping strikes which plays right into Pascual’s strengths. Back Pascual to cause the upset.
