Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday, November 2nd 2024

Race 1: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 1400m – 11:40am (AEDT)

(1) King Of Spades $7.50:  6YO Gelding who was solid enough second up and looks suited up to 1400m now. Proven over this trip.

(2) Bravely $4.60: 4YO who was luckless when resuming and then has been good in the next two with a last start win over 1350m. This looks to be his striking range.

(9) Ulysses Blue $15.00/$3.80:  Roughie of the field who continued to race well last prep and has returned nicely winning first up by a nice space. Rise in trip second up doesn’t appear to challenging. Over the odds?

TIP: NO BET

Race 2: Tab BM78 1300m – 12:45pm (AEDT)

(1) Elettrica $10.00/$2.80: I didn’t mind this 6YO mare first up and she was strong enough to the line at big odds. Remains at the same class, but gets an extra 100m which will suit. 2kg claim engaged and expect improvement second up. Not the worst at the price and worth a small each way play again.

(3) Asgarda $3.80: 5YO Mare who won well first up with 62.5kg on her back in BM82 grade. Took on the Kosciusko second up and wasn’t all that disgraced. Drops right back in grade now and gets some weight relief from the first up run. Looks a top hope.

(10) Pippie Beach $4.00:  4YO Mare who has built a handy resume thus far and is 3 from 4 over this trip. Magic Man gets back on who won on top two back. Hard fit fourth up and worth thought.

TIP: NO BET

Race 3: Cerrone BM78 2000m - 1:20pm (AEDT)

(2) State of America $5.50: 5YO who has found his rhythm now and looks to make it three wins in a row. Back in distance slightly and looks another top hope.

(4) Fays Angel $10.00/$2.80:  Honest competitor and has been good the last two and is getting closer to another win. Hard fit.

(9) Seafall $8.00/$2.40: Lightly raced 4YO Mare who we have tipped its last two starts when she has won sensationally. Moreira remains in the saddle and I can only expect her to be improving again. Nicely spaced runs and looks a nice value pick.

(9) Seafall E/W

$8.00/$2.40 (0.5U/1.5U)

Race 4: Kia BM78 1300m – 2:00pm (AEDT)

(1) Cloudland $7.50: 6YO gelding who has been consistent all prep and is chasing that next win. Drops back to 1300m now where he is yet to miss the exacta from 4 attempts. Value pick.

(5) Fire Star $3.50: Dominant winner last start over 1200m in this grade and only whacks on an extra 2kg. Hard fit and deserves to be favourite.

(7) Silentsar $7.50: 5YO who finished behind Fire Star last start, but gets a 3kg weight swing this time round. Draws pole and can expect an easier run in transit. Improves.

TIP: NO BET

Race 5: Four Pillars Midway BM68 1500m – 2:40pm (AEDT)

(1) Victory Lane $16.00/$4.20: 5YO who has been racing well in midway competition and gets in nicely this time round with a 3kg claim engaged. Fitter again and worth thought at odds.

(5) Harlow Mist $11.00/$3.50: 4YO mare who has been racing in quality races and this looks easier now. Nash to steer boosts confidence and expect a bold showing here at odds.

(16) Alabama State $7.00/$2.70: Handy resume for this 3YO colt and he was a handy winner last start. Drops back in grade and gets a 3kg claim to put him again as the main danger. Goes well.

TIP: NO BET

Race 6: Toyota Forklifts BM78 1100m – 3:20pm (AEDT)

(4) Dollar Magic $6.50/$2.30: 6YO Mare who is consistent and id be happy to have any day at an each way price. Terrific record over this distance and goes well second up. Main danger.

(5) Infatuation $4.60: Resuming 4YO Mare who has been trialling well. Yet to win first up and over this trip. Prefer to watch this time.

(13) Harry Got Styles $18.00/$4.20: Well supported last start at the valley and had no favours getting pushed back. Worth another crack at big odds.

TIP: NO BET

Race 7: Russell Balding Stakes 1300m – 4:00pm (AEDT)

(1) Private Eye 7.50: Handy enough in the Everest last start and finally draws a barrier. Fourth up now and goes well over 1300m. Value pick.

(3) Bella Nipotina $2.40: Superstar 7YO Mare who probably should’ve won the Everest with a leg in the air. She got caught 3 wide the trip with no cover and still won against the best horses in the nation. Maps well enough here and I can’t knock her off her recent performances. Nicely spaced runs and looks better than ever.

(5) Lady Laguna $15.00: Roughie of the field who can improve third up and will be running on late.

(3) Bella Nipotina

$2.40 (3.5 Units)

Race 8: James Squire Golden Eagle 1500m– 4:45pm (AEDT)

(2) Veight $61.00/$10.00:  4YO who looks way over the odds here and deserves a small each way play. He is a proven winner over this track/trip and will only be fitter third up. Sticky gate, but with some luck he can be a blow out hope here.

(15) Stefi Magnetica $11.00/$3.10: Terrific when resuming just running out of room to pick up I AM ME, but was strong through to the line. Far from disgraced in the Everest last start and will appreciate the rise in trip now. Won over 1400m in the Stradbroke last prep beating Bella Nipotina with gaps to third. Form lines are strong. Value of the day.

(16) Joliestar $5.00: Talented mare who was well supported in the Everest, but was too far back. Late sectionals were strong and a rise in trip will also suit.

(15) Stefi Magnetica E/W

$11/$3.10 (0.5U/1.5U)

Race 9: Rosehill Gold Cup 2000m – 5:20pm (AEDT)

(1) Fawkner Park $8.50/$2.60: 6YO Gelding who boasts an impressive record and loves this trip. Unbeaten third up and is a big chance here. Improving and we get a nice price. Value play.

(8) Hinged $6.00/$2.15: 6YO Mare who went to the back last start and left herself too much work to do. She flew home late and didn’t miss by too much. Looks as though she will appreciate the rise to 2000m off that run and the magic man remains in the saddle. Draws a better gate and maps to sit much closer now. Happy to have again.

(13) Bear On The Loose $7.50/$2.50: 5YO gelding who has plenty of fans and hasn’t been all that bad. Gets a race which looks to suit him as a speedster and I think he can pinch it if he can dictate and get some cheap sectionals. He looks to be the only speedster in the race, so should be leading and can pinch it at a price.

(8) Hinged E/W

$6.00/$2.15 (1U/2U)

Race 10: City Tattersalls Club BM78 1500m – 5:55pm (AEDT)

(1) Battleton $5.50: 6YO who has been racing well and may appreciate the rise in trip now. Hard fit and has to be a main danger. 61.5kg the only worry., but $12 into $5.50 already.

(9) Bullets High $4.60: First up winner in BM72 grade and looks capable of going on with it. This isn’t much tougher and gets 2kg off his back. Danger.

(11) Mountain Top $7.00/$2.40: 4YO Mare who is in super form with 3 wins and 2 placings from 5 runs this prep. Won very well last start over the mile, so back to 1500m looks no issue. Value in the race.
