Rosehill Racing Tips – Saturday, May 20th 2023
Race 6: Toyota Forklifts Handicap – 1:55pm (AEST)
(5) Rediener should win this race provided he doesn’t give away too big a start on Saturday. He did that last start and flew home for 3rd but cost himself the race early.
(4) Money From The Sky won in stronger company last start so is definitely right in this race even with 60kg to carry. He may just be too far back in the run to win with the big weight.
(3) Peshmerga ran a nice race on Australian debut last start behind Money From The Sky. She should improve 2nd up so is capable of running just as well, if not better, on Saturday.
(5) Rediener – Win
$2.70 (2 units)
Race 8: Precise Air Handicap – 3:05pm (AEST)
(11) Niffler goes well 1st up and is a quality mare when at her best. She returns here and is drawn barrier 3 to get a great run in transit. Current price is overs and expect her to outperform it.
(2) Democracy Manifest is hard to go past. He’s been running consistently well and handles both wet and dry ground. The issue on Saturday is the barrier draw and big weight.
(22) Bazooka is an emergency here but with a few scratching’s will be a big contender in this race. He handles the soft, has a light weight, an OK draw and was going well at the end of last prep.
(11) Niffler – E/W
$19/$5.5 (1 unit)
Race 9: Lord Mayors Cup – 3:45pm (AEST)
(13) Thalassophile is in stellar form having won and placed in consecutive group 3 events in March. She handles the wet, is drawn well in gate 3 and has only 53kg on her back under one of the most in-form jockeys at the moment Dylan Gibbons.
(9) Wicklow is also in great form. Won the Wagga Cup last start and was racing well without a lot of luck prior. This looks a similar set up for the horse as in the Wagga Cup so he’s a definite danger.
(10) Navajo Peak could threaten in this race from gate 1. He’s a soft track specialist and is building some consistent form having placed in his recent starts. Short enough but right in this.
(13) Thalassophile – E/W
$7.50/$2.60 (1 unit)
