Rosehill hosts its first meeting in some time this weekend and it’s an exciting card presenting a few runners who you’d know well if you’ve been following my selections weekly. I’m interested to see how they go and confident we can land a result.

Rosehill Racing Tips – Saturday, June 17th 2023
Race 1: 2YO Hcp – 1400m (11am AEST)
(3) Tutta La Vita is the clear on top selection for the opening race of the meeting on Saturday. She’s flashed home in her 2 career starts so far, gets to 1400m this time, draws neutrally and will be even fitter now 3rd up.
(1) Flying Trapeze is the obvious danger in the race drawing well and looking as though he’ll be able to camp right behind the speed under Jason Collett.
(2) Cap Ferrat ran 3rd behind Flying Trapeze and Azula in his recent races and looks the most likely to make up the placings here again.
(3) Tutta La Vita - win
$2.10 (2 Units)
Race 8: F&M Bm78 – 1300m (3:05pm AEST)
(4) Vienna Princess ran well for us last time she raced and was scratched last weekend where she looked a solid e/w chance again. She’s entered here and is worth backing if she goes around.
(9) Mascaret needs to be in considerations for this race but can’t be a betting proposition as favourite with no trials to go off since arriving from overseas. She’s contested black-type races over there which reads well but hasn’t performed overly well in them.
(10) Pretty Wild tends to be relatively underrated in her races on most occasions. Amy McLucas takes 3kg off her back and gives her a great chance of adding to her already respectable career record.
(4) Vienna Princess - e/w
$6.30/$2.45 (1 Unit)
Race 10: CG&E Bm78 – 1300m (4:25pm AEST)
(6) Gracilistyla was excruciatingly unlucky last start to run 4th behind a wall of 3 horses who prevented this horse from winning. Time for revenge here in a slightly higher grade but still one this horse is capable of succeeding in.
(10) Soami knows how to run a good race at odds. He’s drawn well and will appreciate the dry track if the weather stays good. Deserves a win after so long out of the winner’s stall.
(12) Cosmic Minerva enters this race off the back of 2 stylish trial wins. Looked promising before a bm78 flop to end last prep. Interesting contender if he’s returned well.
(6) Gracilistyla - e/w
$5.50/$2.25 (1 Unit)
