Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday, February 3rd 2024
Race 2: Tab Highway Plate (C3) - 1500m (1:05 AEDT)
(17) Missile Leader can win this race. He’s been in the blackbook for a few starts now and got the cash last start at Wagga. Drawn well under Tommy Berry in a weak race by the looks.
(5) Stay Safe is drawn wide here which is my concern but he demolished a field in Ballina leading up to this run which explains and largely justifies favouritism in this.
(1) Imatruestar also spent some time in the blackbook lately and won last start. Don’t like the setup as much as the top pick but the price is generous. One for minors/exotics.
(17) Missile Leader E/W
$6.50/$2.50 (1 unit E/W)
Race 8: Vale Bill Camer (Bm78) - 1350 (16:40 AEDT)
(9) Infatuation is a 3yo filly who has exceptional ability. It’s a matter of time with regard to her winning races, and her prep so far has indicated wins are not far away. Love the setup here back in grade and still on a light weight with a good draw.
(2) Powerful Peg underperformed against market expectations last start but she shouldn’t take long to bounce back. She’s got 6kg more than the favourite which is the reason she’s not on top.
(1) Buillt gets a chance to go 3-in-a-row here with James Mcdonald aboard. Hard to ignore especially from a good draw.
(9) Infatuation win
$2.60 (2 units)
Race 9: Schweppes (Bm88) - 1200m (17:20 AEDT)
(2) Dalaalaat is a nice price after going close in this grade last start. The extra race experience, coupled with good form and experience racing in this grade have me convinced this is the right play.
(6) Our Kobison is short and i’m not convinced just yet. He won nicely last time in Bm78 but steps up here and hasn’t completely sold me as the type to race through the grades.
(10) Dipsy Doodle is fresh, has a light weight, and can lead or sit handy. It’s a tempting setup for those interesting in backing her. That said it’ll be tough for her to beat the older boys.
(2) Dalaalaat win
$9.60 (1 unit)
