Rosehill on Saturday presents as a significant downgrade in race quality after Sydney had been spoilt for consecutive weeks with extremely high-quality racing with some of the country’s best going around on a weekly basis. Some good betting opportunities here regardless and expecting an enjoyable day nonetheless.

Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday April 29th
Race 4
(10) Flag Of Honour sets up well here apart from the wide barrier. He’s back significantly in grade for this with James Mcdonald aboard after contesting 3 black-type races since winning his first 2 career runs. I’ve liked the trials leading up to the gelding’s return and expect a solid run.
(14) Lavish Empire is yet to run a poor race having placed in every start in his short career. He’s drawn well enough to continue that trend, although this is a competitive race.
(6) Pretty Wild cannot be ruled out here first up with Joao Moreira riding for Chris Waller. He’s taken Sydney by storm since arriving to race here for 6 weeks and he doesn’t look like he’s done just yet.
(10) Flag Of Honour e/w
$6.10/$2.50 (1 unit)
Race 7
(8) Floating was unlucky in both of his starts this prep not to win. He’s well overdue for a win and drawn well this time again should be third time lucky for the horse with James Mcdonald aboard. Quite confident.
(2) Kayobi was seemingly flat in the provincial championships on the Heavy track but is clearly better than that going off his prior 4 consecutive wins. If he bounces back he can win here.
(11) Money In The Sky was 2nd when first up last start and looped the field from back in the field after drawing wide. He typically improves 2nd up and will be in the minors here.
(8) Floating win
$3.80 (2 units)
Race 9
(1)Coal Crusher is back in grade from a group 3 last start where he was far from disgraced among some talented horses. Brad Rawiller rides over from WA and will be looking to get a win while on tour. The horse can lead in a race with little pressure on paper.
(4) Wild Planet is the horse to compete with Coal Crusher on form coming out of the same race and closing off strongly over the 1200m there. 1400m now and Wild Planet may be able to get closer with the extra distance.
(7) Democracy Manifest is clearly the horse in form here winning emphatically last time first up. Joao Moreira stays aboard but the horse is up in grade quite significantly taking on horses who have black-type wins to their name. Can he measure up?
(1) Coal Crusher e/w
$6.00/$2.30 (1 unit)
