Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 4th 2023
Race 2: Headwater @ Vinery Stud BM78 1400m at 2:35pm AEDT
(6) BALTIC COAST ($10/$2.40) – 6YO gelding who resumes today after a couple trials. He has a nice first up record and is proven over this trip previously. He has nice pace over this trip and draws perfectly to be able to use his early speed to hopefully sit on-pace and can dictate the race before kicking away late to give the others something to chase. Otherwise he has the ability top sit in behind the others and get a tow into the race here and again will be hitting the line well. Looks over the odds here.
(7) HOLLYWOOD HERO ($3.90) – 4YO who has early support in the market and ran on nicely last start over 1800m. Drops back to 1400m is the query here though. 6 back he won over 1350m and then buttered up for a second over 1400m at Rosehill. He looks more than capable of running a race over this trip. Goes well.
(6) BALTIC COAST - E/W
$10/$2.40 (0.5u/1u)
Race 3: TAB BM72 1250m at 3:10pm AEDT
(8) ADITI ($2.45) – 3YO filly from the Waterhouse stable with Tim CLARK in the saddle. Won impressively first up by more than 3 Lengths. Draws well to back it up again here and will only be fitter second up. Take catching.
(5) GREECE ($5.50) – 4YO Mare who I fancied last week before she was scratched. Expect her to be hitting the line well again and should be fit enough second up. If ADITI goes too hard early itll be set up for GREECE to come over the top. Goes well.
(8) ADITI - Win
$2.45 (1.5 Units)
Race 6: James Squire BM72 1300m at 4:55pm AEDT
(1) BODY BOB ($6.50) – 4YO gelding who is looking for four wins on the trot. Previous two both being won by more than 3 Lengths, so demands respect for that. One win being with 62.5kg on his back. Remains at bm72 grade, but goes up 3kg off the previous run. Expect another good outing and will take catching. Value play
(10) RHYTHM OF LOVE ($1.85) – 3YO gelding who broke his maiden first up this prep and then finished second last start in BM68 grade. Up in grade today, but gets 4kg off his back from the previous outing and gets J-Mac in the saddle. Will be hard fit third up now and is an honest type who will be around the mark. Draws pole and likes to lead, so the race is set up perfectly for him to dictate from the front and give the others something to catch. Goes well
(10) RHYTHM OF LOVE - Win
