Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, October 30th 2024
Race 2: Tab BM78 2400m - 2:50pm (AEDT)
(2) Vaguer $4.00: 5YO who was dominant when rising from the mile to 2110m last start. Rises in class now and drops half a kilo, but looks as though he’ll appreciate 2400m. Draws well and previously won over this trip and proven third up. Goes well.
(4) Ahuriri $4.20: 4YO Mare who we tipped last start and down the straight you probably couldn’t have had any more on as she loomed to win, but then just stayed with them and didn’t shoot past. Happy to have again at this trip now 4th up and expect her to only improve. J-Mac stays on.
(5) Tajanis $2.60: Hard fit 5YO gelding who gave a good account over this trip in BM72 grade last start only narrowly missing. Drops 1.5kg off that run and looks capable of another bold run.
(4) Ahuriri
$4.20 (1.5 Units)
Race 4: Star Turn @ Vinery Stud BM88 1800m - 4:00pm (AEDT)
(2) Premise $3.30: 5YO Mare who looks to be the bet of the day in Sydney. Very good through to the line over 1600m last time finishing behind the smart horse in Tavi Time. 1L gap to 3rd there. Rises to 1800m which looks ideal off that previous run where she was strong though to the line. Third up now, so will only be fitter. Keen.
(4) Too Much Caviar $4.40: 7YO gelding who was terrific first and second up and then has been flat since. Will be fitter for this and gets a nice booking of Nash, but prefer him over a short trip.
(5) Fays Angel $4.00: 5YO who has been brave last two starts over 2000m. Drops back now which looks to be a good option as she has tired late the last two. Proven over this trip and track. Worth thought.
(2) Premise
$3.30 (2.5 Units)
Race 5: Hyland Race Colours BM78 1550m BM78 – 4:35pm (AEDT)
(2) Peace Officer $7.00: 5YO gelding who had been super consistent up until last start, but had no favours with a wide draw there. If you ca forgive that run and look at the previous outings he has a case here. 3kg claim engaged puts him right in this.
(5) Groundrush $2.10: 4YO Gelding who looks as though he is getting better with each run, but is yet to win this prep. Slightly back in distance and is hard fit, so should be around the mark again. Price a tad too short for my liking.
(6) Kenyada $4.50: Queenslander who had some good form lines when up there and then came down to NSW where she failed to fire first up. I think she is better than that and will only improve second up. J-Mac for Waller boosts confidence. Rates well.
