Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, February 14th 2024
Race 1: The Agency Real Estate BM72 1550m- 2:20pm (AEDT)
(2) Sweysive $3.00: 4YO gelding who gets out to this distance now third up after being average over shorter distances. He is unbeaten at this track and has a win and second from two attempts over this trip. Peaking third up now and ready to fire. Early market support also ticks the box. Goes well.
(1) Dimaggio $4.00: 7YO who will also relish the rise in trip now. Proven over this trip and has performed at the track. Worth thought here.
(2) Sweysive
$3 (2 Units)
Race 5: Ghaiyyath First Yearlings BM72 1800m - 4:40pm (AEDT)
(1) Kiptanui $8.00/2.25: 7YO who won two on the trot before taking on BM88 grade where he was far from disgraced. Drops back to BM72 and rises to 1800m which looks ideal. Rock hard fit and gets a 3kg claim on board. Draws a nice gate and expect to see him on the pace or out in front dictating the race. Will be hard to catch with the 3kg claim.
(7) Loving Cilla $4.80: 7YO mare who hasn’t been far off at all this prep. Two back only 2.5L off LOUSIVILLE in tougher grade and then did enough at Newcastle last outing. Prefer to see her on the dry track, but worth thought again here. Overdue.
(3) Naval Seal $3.00: 5YO gelding who is the favourite of the race who only found one better last start over this track/trip. Remains at the same weight and deserves another chance here.
(1) Kiptanui E/W
$8/$2.25 (1 Unit)
Race 6: Vinery Yearlings BM72 1000m - 5:15pm (AEDT)
(7) Balkans $2.30: resuming 3YO out of the cummings stable and Zac LLOYD with the ride. Proven first up and comes into this off two handy trials against quality horses. Back to provincial level of racing and demands respect here. Prefer him on the dry track, but looks capable of beating this field here.
(6) Major Time $31/$6.00: Roughie of the race who hasn’t missed the trifecta from all five runs this prep. Looks a nice chance at odds with the 2kg claim and low draw. Sets him up to be able to lead and win. Over the odds here.
(7) Balkans
$2.30 (3 Units)
