Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 14th 2024
Race 4: PKF Newcastle BM72 1000m – 3:10pm (AEST)
(1) Headwall $2.50: 6YO who has been lightly raced and is yet to miss the placings from 7 career starts. Resumes today of a decent break, but has had two trials leading in. Proven first up and goes well over the 1000m. Only concern is the wide draw, but gets in well at the weights with Wadick claiming 3kg. Puts him in well at the weights. Strong hope
(2) Chief Conductor $4.00: 6YO gelding who was good two back in this grade on the heavy, but the other two outings have only been fair. However, those other two runs have been in superior class. Drops back to BM72 now and gets a much better track conditions than all three runs this prep. James McDonald gets into the saddle and draws pole position. Expect him to ping the gates and try dictate from start to finish. Back to winnable grade.
(6) Party Doll $6.50: 5YO mare who had been racing consistently and finally got the honours last start in a class 1 over this distance winning comfortably. Can go on with it.
(2) Chief Conductor
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 5: PFK Sydney BM72 1550m - 3:45pm (AEST)
(1) Regal Pom $14.00/$3.50: Roughie of the field here who is proven over this trip and always goes well after a few lead up runs. Gets back in grade now and claims 3kg to put him right up to these. Must be respected at odds.
(8) The Replicant $3.10: 6YO gelding we have been with on a few runs this prep and hes only just missed out. Three seconds from four runs in this time round and is continuing to get better. Rises in trip now which looks ideal off last starts run and gets a nice draw. Only improves when further into his prep, so expect a big run here. Nash Rawiller will be riding him home strongly. Top hope.
(9) Serene Nic $5.00: Last start over the mile and in this grade. Won well, but now needs to lug an extra 3kg. Loves the soft track and Jason Collett to steer boosts confidence. Chance.
(8) The Replicant
$3.10 (2.5 Units)
Race 6: PKF Global BM64 1800m – 4:20pm (AEST)
(1) Influential $5.50/$2.15: Tipped this fella last start and he was pretty good, but just found one better. Unsure about the extra 200m now though, but gets a nice draw and will only be fitter 3rd up. Claiming 3kg puts him in lightly too.
(3) Demacray $6.00/$2.25: 6YO gelding who hasn’t been all that far away in his last two outings, which have both been in tougher grade. J-Mac is staying on board which is a positive sign and should be peaking fitness now for this fourth up run. Draws a nice alley and he will be in this finish. Value pick of the day.
(8) Luconi $4.40: Third starter for the Waterhouse stable who was dominant on debut and than only narrowly beaten over 1500m last start as a $1.60 fav. He was running on strongly though and looks as though further will suit. Must be respected here.
(3) Demacray E/W
$6.00/$2.25 (1U/2U)
