Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, October 26th 2024
Race 1: Gow-Gates Kirkham Plate 1000m – 12:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Chicama $4.00: 2YO colt who is a half to Shoals. Trialled well and has been supported early. Should go well.
(2) Comedy $3.40: 2YO colt who won his first trial and then was only jog trotting in his next. Top pick.
(6) Arabella Star $3.80: 2YO filly who was a cheap purchase, but has won both trials against older horses. Looks smart enough to give this a good run.
TIP: NO BET
Race 2: Midway BM72 1200m – 1:05pm (AEDT)
(2) Miss Hades $9.50/$3.00: 4YO Mare who was handy to the line last start, but had too much to do from a wide draw. Fitter now and out to 1200m. Each way play.
(4) Putt For Dough $9.50/$3.00: Honest gelding who is hard fit and continues to give shout. Nash Rawiller jumps into the saddle now and looks a great each way chance again here.
(11) Mogul Monarch $5.50: Favourite here and is deserving with 2 wins and 2 seconds from 5 outings this prep. Very consistent and must be considered again.
TIP: NO BET
Race 3: Tab Highway Class 3 1600m - 1:40pm (AEDT)
(4) Volcanic Love $5.00: 4YO Gelding who is ticking along nicely of late and should be rock hard fit for this now. Loves the dry deck and with some luck from the draw he goes close.
(7) Cable Express $8.00/$2.75: $12 into $8 in the early market after a handy effort first up at Goulbourn. Tommy BERRY to steer boosts confidence and expect improvement now second up.
(9) Hulu $10.00/$3.10: Didn’t mind this mare last time out, but had no favours. Remains at similar level and the two runs prior were good. Roughie of the field.
TIP: NO BET
Race 4: Schweppes Brian Crowley Stakes – 2:15pm (AEDT)
(1) High Octane $3.20: 3YO colt who is yet to fire this prep, but we know the talent is there. He has been trialling well, but failing to fire on race day. Fitter again now and the magic man gets on top. D-Day.
(2) King Of Rosseau $6.00/$2.70: 3YO colt who gets in nicely here and looks suited dropping back to 1200m. Hard fit now and looks to be a main danger. Prefer him the wet track, but he can still play a role here.
(4) Smashing Time $3.00: First up winner and remains at 1200m and stays on the dry track. Can only expect further improvement now. Tommy BERRY jumps back in the saddle. Keep safe.
TIP: NO BET
Race 5: Catanachs Jewellers Callander-Presnell 1600m – 2:50pm (AEDT)
(1) Anode $2.60: Last start winner and he did enough to hold of JUST PARTY. Draws well and maps as though he will lead again, but 1600m now is the query.
(2) Just Party $2.80: 3YO colt who was terrific in defeat last time out where he boasted some nice sectionals and was still last at the 300m mark. Took the rails run and only just missed behind Anode. Gets an extra 200m this time out and remains at the same weight as Anode. Gets the job done today.
(3) Prost $10.00/$2.40: Roughie of the field who maps nicely at the rear where if the tempo is hot he will be swooping late. Will appreciate the rise in trip now. Roughie chance.
(2) Just Party
$2.80 (2.5 Units)
Race 6: Cincotta Chemist Craven Plate – 3:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Numerian $10.00/$2.80: Resuming 9YO veteran who can play a role on his day. Draws well and gets Chad SCHOFIELD into the saddle who is riding well. Proven fresh and over this trip. Knock out hope.
(2) Fawkner Park $4.20: Flat when resuming, but happy to forgive after last preparations efforts. Will only be improving and if a quality type. Goes well.
(3) Lindermann $5.50: Group one winner who I didn’t mind at big odds first up, but failed to fire. Fitter now and has a terrific second up record. Magic man on top for Waller is a confidence boost. Draws well and can win this.
(3) Lindermann
$5.50 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Moet & Chandon Spring Champion Stakes 2000m – 4:00pm (AEDT)
(1) El Castello $3.40: 3YO colt who is flying this prep and is hoping to make it 4 in a row. Stays on the dry and will only be fitter fourth up. Hard to knock.
(2) Swiftfalcon $3.60: 3YO Gelding who probably should’ve won last start, but got dragged back with the tricky gate. He was very strong to the line finishing second behind El Castello. Draws another sticky gate, so will need luck again from the gate, but fitter again and worth another crack.
(8) Harlem Queen $6.00: This filly has been outstanding of late and was good to the line LS in Group 1 company. Rises to 2000m now which looks ideal off that run and she showed a nice burst late to hit the line. Already a Group 1 placegetter and will only be improving now. Over the odds?
(8) Harlem Queen
$6.00 (1 Unit)
Race 8: The Invitation 1400m– 4:30pm (AEDT)
(1) Zougotcha $4.20: 5YO Mare who was terrific when resuming narrowly being nutted by VIA SISTINA and she beat FANGIRL/BUCKEROO & JUST FINE on that day who have all gone on to win since. Happy to forgive last start as she was flat and didn’t appear to want to race. Has trialled since and gets back against her own sex this time round. Well weighted and looks the main danger.
(2) Magic Time $3.90: Far from disgraced first up and was supported in the market. Only 1.2L behind Right to Party there. Terrific second up record and loves 1400m. Another top hope.
(5) Olentia $3.70: Very handy when resuming over 1200m and she was well backed. Stable are quite bullish on this mare and she looks in terrific order. Out to 1400m now where she has previously 1, but unplaced on 3 other occasions. Watch the market.
(1) Zougotcha
$4.20 (1.5 Units)
Race 9: Five Diamonds Prelude 1500m – 5:30pm (AEDT)
(5) Osipenko $7.50/$2.40: $10 into $7.50 early and he appears to only be getting fitter. Drops back to 1500m where he finished 4th 2 back behind some classy types. Magic man to steer and worth another each way try.
(7) Yellow Brick $3.60: 5YO Gelding who was rather impressive last start winning comfortably at Eagle Farm. Rises in class again now, but looks well weighted and maps to do what he did last start again. Extra 100m to the run is no issue with a previous win over the trip. Third up form is good. Hard to look past again here.
(9) Holymanz $23.00/$5.00: Roughie of the field who has been nibbled at early. Talented enough horse for this race and is hard fit. Maps okay and can be a blow out hope.
(7) Yellow Brick
$3.60 (2 Units)
Race 10: Robrick Lodge Filante Hcp 1600m – 6:10pm (AEDT)
(3) Charterhouse $13.00/$3.30: Happy to forgive the past two runs which have been well below his best. Prior to that he was going well. Can only improve and at an each way price he is a value.
(5) Kintyre $4.00: Only 4L behind Ceoulwulf in the Epsom which isn’t too bad. Back to an easier race now and all the fitter. Top hope.
(10) Riyazan $3.70: 10YO Veteran who continues to race well. Closing in on another win. Draws well and is still rock hard fit. Win isn’t far away.
