Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday March 9th 2024
Race 2: Yarraman Park Reisling Stakes (Group 2) - 1200m (13:05 AEST)
(1) Too Darn Lizzie just has all the attributes you want to see in 2yo’s. She led well on debut up north and kicked strongly when asked to run away from the horses behind her. She’ll lead again here and prove hard to run down.
(8) Silmarillion will be the one chasing her down from back in the pack. She was forced to be near last from a wide draw on debut but shouldn’t end up as far back this time. Jmac on is a huge watch, just a concern with the speedmap.
(2) Erno’s Cube is tough to figure out but she has some ability. She wasn’t too flash on returning and will need to pick up here to beat a few of these I suspect.

Race 4: Tokyo City Keiba Fireball Stakes (Listed) - 1100m (14:15 AEST)
(6) Blanc De Blanc is in a great spot here in this market given the price she started in Melbourne. She was lame there and can return to her best now off the back of some quality trials.
(2) Red Resistance is an obvious pick here given he’ll lead and has trialed well. He’s run well in all 3 starts to date only losing narrowly to Cylinder. Hard to beat but short.
(1) Corniche gets Tom Marquand aboard and can do something in this race fresh. Did beat Shinzo last prep.
(6) Blanc De Blanc E/W

Race 8: The Agency Randwick Guineas (Group 1) - 1600m (16:35 AEST)
(1) Militarize absolutely leaps off the page here. 2nd to Fangirl when resuming and beating the winner and 3rd place getter of the Verry Elleegant Stakes in Think It Over and Lindermann. Back to his own age and extremely hard to beat.
(4) Encap is a consistent horse at this level and should be thereabouts again. Wide draw only concern.
(9) Ceolwulf goes in again at a big double-figure price. Not losing faith in him just yet as I believe he has the ability to match it with the big guns in this grade.
