We’re racing at Randwick for the Australia Day long weekend this Saturday! A juicy 10-race card is ahead of us so get involved and enjoy the day. A couple shorter-priced runners I’m keen on are mentioned below. Good luck to everyone following along!

Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday January 27th 2024
Race 1: Join Atc Membership Hcp - 1000m (12:30 AEDT)
(6) Switzerland was tipped in a race he was scratched from after drawing wide and not setting up ideally. Gets gate 2 here and has the chance to prove why he cost $1.5 million.
(15) Blue Illusion is a chance if he gets into the race here. Race experience goes a long way with the young horses and this one has shown some promise.
(5) Russian Roulette has the typical Waterhouse and Clark combination here. Wide draw might prove tricky but if the horse gets across early it could all be over.
(6) Switzerland

Race 5: Petaluma (Bm72) - 1600m (14:50 AEDT)
(5) Castillian has always been a favourite of mine although he didn’t reach the heights once expected of him it’s nice to see him back in a Saturday race. There’s a load of speed on here and he can take advantage settling comfortably from the inside draw.
(4) Amati is the obvious 2nd pick. 3rd up now after finishing 5th and 3rd in her recent runs. Maps well and has Nash aboard.
(6) Don Pedro could very well lead here. If the pace isn’t as dramatic as it looks on paper this horse may be favoured, particularly if the pattern assists him on Saturday.
(5) Castillian

Race 6: The Agency Real Estate (Bm88) - 2000m (15:25 AEDT)
(6) Louisville is a good enough price to back again here. He won last start and deservedly so having been so consistent all prep. He is up against many horses he beat last start by good margins and should appreciate the 2000m.
(3) Manbehindthemoney is going to lead the race which gives him a distinct advantage here. Undefeated 3rd up and will need to be considered more heavily if the pattern favours leaders tomorrow.
(10) Floating gets a chance to turn the tables on the favourite here. He’s a lot shorter than last time though so i’m not tempted enough to take the favourite on with him but he has to be a big danger given last start’s margin.
(6) Louisville
