Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, December 28th 2024
Race 5: The Agency Real Estate BM78 – 1200m - 3:25pm (AEDT)
(1) Countyourblessings $4.20: 4YO Mare who returns to racing after going unbeaten from three attempts last prep. She has trialled twice leading into this and always goes well fresh. Gets in well with a 3kg claim and must be considered.
(3) Jewellery $3.60: 5YO Mare who has been a hard luck story on both runs this prep. Probably wins first up if she doesn’t get held up and then got caught wide throughout on her second up run. Remains at BM78 grade and 1200m, but with the 3kg claim she gets in better at the weights than last start. She draws a nice alley and has no excuse to be getting caught wide. Fitter again and happy to be on again.
(7) Passeggiata $8.50/$2.50: Value pick of the field who has already been well supported in the market. Rock hard fit and maps really well to dictate out in front and will take catching here. Value.
(3) Jewellery
$3.60 (2 Units)
Race 6: James Squire BM78 - 1200m– 4:00pm (AEDT)
(2) Eye Of The Fire $4.00: 4YO Gelding who is in terrific form narrowly missing the trifecta last start. Rates really well here with the 3kg claim and is again a top chance and gets a nice weight swing on Disneck who beat him last start. If Jewellery goes well in race 5 it’ll look good for this fella too with the franking of form.
(3) Disneck $6.00: Strong winner last start and is capable of going on with it, but draws poorly and gets a poor weight swing with the favourite off last start. Will be launching late though.
(8) Amazing Eagle $4.20: 3YO colt who is yet to miss the drum from all 5 career starts. Racing well again and looks suited again here back on the dry deck. Danger.
(2) Eye Of The Fire
$4.00 (1.5 Units)
Race 8: Tab BM88 - 2000m- 5:20pm (AEDT)
(5) Saltcoats $3.00: 4YO Gelding who bounced back beautifully second up to win by a length in this same grade. Jumps up in weight now and gets out to 2000m. Draws well and Nash Rawiller into the saddle is a tick. Worth thought again.
(6) So Dazzling $26/$5.50: 5YO Mare who bounced back very well last start where she flew late to finish second behind Saltcoats and beat Tavi Time who has since won the Schweppes Summer Cup over 2000m (Fastest last 600m and Form since Franked). She meets Saltcoats again here, but gets a 2.5kg weight swing in her favour this time round and rises to 2000m which looks ideal off last start. She draws wide, but is expected to settle at the rear, so that shouldn’t be too much of an issue for this, however she has not been supported in the market in any recent runs, and she mixes her form a lot, but her best is good enough to blow this out at odds. Blow out hope.
(16) Ring Me Up $8.50/$2.60: Handy 4YO mare who is going at 50% strike rate and is chasing a hattrick of wins. She still looks progressive and is worthy of an each way play here. Watch the market.
(6) So Dazzling E/W
$26/$5.50 (0.5 Units)
