There's racing at Randwick again this weekend again and I’m keen on some favourites at shorter prices. I’d be surprised if they were to lose in all honesty which in turn means I’m expecting a solid day with these three selections.

Randwick Racing Tips: Saturday, December 16th 2023
Race 5: Tab Highway Plate (C3) - 1000m (14:50 AEDT)
(1) Emperor can win very easily in this race - the same class he raced in last start to win by 2 lengths. He’s drawn wide but carries 1.5kg less than he did last start in the same grade so is perfectly placed.
(2) Blow Dart knows how to run a drum as he did last start. Wide draw for him here but he can sneak into the finish with some luck.
(9) Jacenza goes in as a bit of a roughie 2nd up. Reece Jones on his back so let’s see what he can produce.
(1) Emperor win
$2.00 (3 units)
Race 6: Tab (Bm72) - 1100m (15:25 AEDT)
(10) Boston Rocks is talented and consistent. He’s drawn perfectly here to win yet again in a race which appears to lack quality. One of the bets of the day.
(9) Infatuation has always been a favourite of mine and she returns here from a wide gate at a big price. She’s far from the worst chance in this race and shouldn’t be ignored.
(6) Union Army gets barrier 1 here under Jason Collett. He trialled well prior to this return and should come to hand quickly.
(10) Boston Rocks win
$2.50 (2 units)
Race 8: Precise Air (Bm78) - 1400m (16:40 AEDT)
(11) Louisville can absolutely send it here over the 1400m. He motored to finish 2nd last start over this trip and although he could have stepped up to 1600m, he’ll be hard to beat here from a good draw.
(6) Crafty Eagle contested some group level racing last prep and wasn’t far away. That puts him in good stead for this prep which began with an ok performance at Warwick Farm.
(4) Robusto has been contesting higher benchmark quality than this so drops in grade here. Blinkers go on indicating strong intent from the Waller team but the wide draw is slightly concerning.
(11) Louisville win
$4.20 (1 unit)
