Randwick hosts a 10-race card with the Darley Missile Stakes and the Premiers Cup Prelude as the two feature races. The first race commences at 11:30am AEST and the last concludes at 4:55pm AEST. The rail is in its true position and conditions are set to be soft. Watch and monitor.

Randwick Racing Tips: Wednesday, August 10th 2024
Race 5: Ranvet BM88 1000m – 1:50pm (AEST)
(1) Our Kobison $1.80: Talented 5YO Gelding who is resuming today and comes in off two trials with the most recent being a dominant showing at Wyong. J-Mac remains in the saddle and must be respected off previous form. Price just looks a tad short for my liking, but clearly a top chance and will be in the finish.
(2) Dancing Alone $3.90: 5YO Mare who is resuming after a long break, but comes in off two handy trials where she cruised comfortably with a nice hold. Appears to be a very talented mare with a record to show. 6 wins from 8 starts. Resumes over 1000m where she is also unbeaten with 4 wins. Meets OUR KOBISON who is also quite the talent who is coming off a terrific trial at Wyong, but DANCING ALONE looks as though she will map well in behind the favourite to get a nice tow in and we get in much better at the weights here. Happy to take the fav on with this mare on previous form and the nice weight.
(3) Le Melody $20.00/$3.20: Roughie of the field who is hard fit and is dropping back in grade from competing at listed level. Gets in well at the weights with a 2kg claim and could be a knockout hope here if she turns it on. Terrific record over this trip and proven on the wet track.
(2) Dancing Alone

Race 6: James Squire BM78 1200m - 2:25pm (AEST)
(2) Junqueira $6.50: 5YO mare who is fourth up today, so should be rock hard fit. Also proven fourth up. Remains at 1200m where she looked the winner last time out, but couldn’t go on with it in the last furlong. Gets in well at the weights now with a 3kg claim and will only improve. Prefer her on the drier tracks though.
(4) Tulsi $6.50/$2.30: 4YO mare who is out of The Autumn Sun and is making her debut in AUS today. She was terrific in her trial at Warwick Farm and looks to be the top hope now dropping back in this grade. Six of her last eight runs have all been at group level in NZ and that includes a Group one as a placegetter. Resumes here over 1200m which is a distance she has placed at previously and she also has a good first up record. James McDonald gets into the saddle for her debut run and looks to be hard to beat off her Kiwi form.
(7) Hi Dubai $3.50: Favourite of the race who is a last start winner and looks to only be getting better. Proven now on the wet winning last start, but rises in grade now and will need to rise an extra 100m. Watch the market.

Race 8: Darley Missile Stakes 1200m – 3:35pm (AEST)
(1) Loch Eagle $17: Resuming 6YO who sees probably one of his easiest for a while, but hasn’t ran a sprint race in quite some time, although proven once before to win over 1200m. Gets in very well at the weights here as a 102 rater. Has trialled okay leading into this, but only concern is he tends to settle midfield or worse, so will need to see his best work from there if he is to give this a shake. Happy to have a small nibble at the big odds though.
(3) Schwarz $2.20: 4YO who was disappointing up in QLD, but is capable of much better. Back to 1200m now where he is proven, but would still prefer him over a dry track. Draws the carpark and doesn’t map that well here. Therefore, not keen to take him on the short price, however the talent is there to win a race like this. Watch the market and J-Mac can easily provide a peach from the draw.
(4) Banju $67.00/$10.00: Big blow out hope here. Disappointing last prep, but the one before that was very honest and if we see that horse again we are in for a blow out here. Maps well first up to lead here and has trialled well. Could be giving the others something to catch. Blow out hope.
