We’re returning to Sydney’s West this weekend with good weather predicted. It should be a welcomed sight after the last few weekends of racing in Sydney. I’m keen to be back on a dry deck and getting some positive results!

Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday April 27th 2024
Race 6: Hot Rod & Custom Show (Bm72) - 1200m (14:25 AEST)
(1) Let’s Try goes onwards and upwards here in a race like this. Dominant last time and ultra-consistent of late. Looks a nice race that he can lead quite comfortably and have little trouble winning.
(7) Cigar Flick could be the party pooper if she improves off the Group 3 run she produced last time. Does have a lot of weight for a 3yo filly taking on the older boys however.
(11) Keep Your Cool is the same with 56kg as a 3yo filly taking on a 4yo gelding. Wide draw is also sticky but going great guns.

Race 8: Vale Lonhro (Bm100) - 1500m (15:35 AEST)
(10) Iknowastar gets the gun run behind 2 fast leaders on the map here. Deserves to be favourite regardless but should prove hard to beat with the best spot in running.
(4) Waterford is typically a good fresh horse and can run well here 1st up with Nash aboard from an inside gate.
(7) Flying Crazy is a longshot. Gets back from a wide gate in this and can launch over the top late if there’s any unforeseen tempo in the leading division.

Race 10: Luke Lucas (Bm78) - 1300m (16:50 AEST)
(14) Eastern Glow took on the Little Dance to round out last prep and returned nicely this prep. Goes well 2nd up and draws nicely in gate 2 here. Big threat at nice e/w odds.
(10) Garcilistyla is one that has to be kept close in races like this. The wide draw doesn’t do him many favours but if he overcomes it he can go close.
(7) Starman is favourite and doesn’t boast a very convincing record seemingly finding one better each time he steps out. That could change with Nash back aboard who has won on this horse previously.
