Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, March 15th 2025

Race 5: Asahi Super Dry Sky High Stakes – 2000m – 2:50pm (AEDT)

(1) Lindermann $2.40: 5YO Gelding who has been superb on both return runs this campaign in tough company. Back to group 3 level now where he is unbeaten from 2 attempts. Draws well, loves this track and Nash stays on top. Fitter again and must be considered.

(4) Land Legend $5.50: 5YO who was safely held first up, but expect improvement off that run. He may need a few more runs under his belt, but with J-Mac into the saddle he will have a few followers. Draws well, consider.

(5) Vauban $5.00: 7YO stayer who has remained in Australia since his Melbourne Cup run. He is a talented type with a nice record. He has trialled twice and should be ready for this first up. Yet to tackle 2000m, but should be around the mark. Goes well fresh and loves the soft track.

(5) Vauban WIN

$5.00 (1 Unit)

Race 8: Coolmore Classic - 1500m - 4:35pm (AEDT)

(1) Amelias Jewel $7.00/$2.20: 5YO Mare who boasts a terrific record with 10 wins and 7 seconds from 22 career starts. She went last campaign without a win, but wasn’t far away on all occasions. Returned this time in style winning impressively in the Group 2 Proven Thoroughbreds beating several of these opponents. Draws well and should be able to get another handy sit throughout. Hard to look past at the price they are offering. Value.

(4) Lady Shenandoah $2.35: 3YO Filly who continues to notch them up and is coming into this off a nice Group 1 win last start. Meets another tough field and gets a sticky gate which will require some luck. J-Mac stays in the saddle and must be considered again. A touch short for me, but deserving favourite off recent form.

(5) Marble Arch $13.00/$3.30: Roughie of the field who had a nice soft win in the Group 2 Blamey last start. She only gets an extra 1.5kg on her back, but still remains a nice weight. Rock hard fit and looks another top hope. One for the exotics.

(1) Amelias Jewel E/W

$7.00/$2.20 (1 Unit)

Race 10: Quayclean BM88 - 1400m – 5:55pm (AEDT)

(1) Glint Of Silver $11.00/$3.20: Roughie of the filed who has already been crunched $21 into $11 in the early market. Handy first up and is expected to improve second up. Gets in nicely with a 3kg claim engaged. Blow out hope.

(9) Harlem Queen $3.90: 3YO Filly who was terrific in the spring with a second in the Group 1 Darley Flight Stakes only finishing behind the talented LADY SHENANDOAH. She then tackled the Group 1 Moet & Chandon and Crown Oaks finishing 4th in both. She returns with two trials with her most recent being impressive behind PRIVATE HARRY. She resumes over 1400m where she is a proven winner and with the two trials under her belt she should be fit enough to tackle it first up. Draws a sticky gate, but still maps to get an okay run with a little luck. James McDonald gets booked to ride which is a nice confidence booster for punters. Expecting further improvement off last campaign, so happy to be on. Goes well.

(12) Les Vampires $3.40: 4YO who wasn’t that far away first up. Fitter now and with the low draw id expect him to lead again and dictate to his liking. Will be the one to run down again. Goes well.

(9) Harlem Queen WIN

$3.90 (2.5 Units)
