Rosehill hosts a 10-race card on Saturday with no standout feature race, but Race 8 we get a BM94. The first race commences at 12:30pm AEST and the last concludes at 5:55pm AEST. The rail is out 4m and conditions are set to be GOOD. Shannon Buckley offers his three best bets for the card below!
Rosehill Racing Tips: Saturday, December 7th 2024
Race 1: Petaluma BM72– 1200m - 12:30pm (AEDT)
(2) Private Harry $2.10: This 3YO colt has made a serious impression in both career starts. First up run was terrific and won by almost 4L. He then went to BM64 grade at Hawkesbury and absolutely destroyed them (7 lengths). He looks to be a very smart type. Draws well again and Ashley Morgan stays on. Third up now and would only expect further improvement. Big watch.
(6) Candlewick $10.00/$2.40: Value pick who was handy first up winning well and then jumped $1.80 favourite second up and only just missed. Remains at 1200m and gets less weight. Appears tougher company though.
(8) Unleeshing $11.00/$2.50: 3YO filly who looks talented enough and will only be improving for this second up run. Light weight and will be in this for a long way.

Race 2: Midway BM72 – 1500m - 1:05pm (AEDT)
(1) Kingston Charm $5.50: Chasing a hattrick of wins and remains at 1500m where she has been impressive. Will go close again.
(3) Miss Hades $5.50/$2.00: 4YO Mare who has been racing well and isn’t far away from a win. Suited out to 1500m and gets in well with a 3kg claim. She meets the favourite 6kg better at the weights where they met last start. Happy to stay on at the price with the weight relief and swing with Justela.
(6) Justela $4.40: Dominant win last start at big odds and will be expected to only improve further third up. Draws well and will be around the mark.
(3) Miss Hades E/W

Race 7: Captivant @ Kia Ora BM78 – 1300m - 4:00pm (AEDT)
(1) Infatuation $7.00/$2.30: 4YO Mare who generally gets better the deeper she gets into her prep. Third up now and gets in well at the weights with Osmond claiming 3kg. Draws well and likes this track. I think she is capable at an each way price against the others here.
(6) Demiana $9.00/$2.60: 5YO Mare who was handy first up only narrowly missing. Goes well second up and gets 2kg off her back from last start. Appreciate the rise in grade, but she looks suited for another bold run. Each way.
(7) Drift Net $3.20 :4YO Mare who keeps jumping as favourite, but just struggles to win. Hasn’t missed the minors from all 3 runs this prep, but needs to improve. Loves this distance and will be hard fit now. D-Day.
