Warwick Farm Racing Tips: Wednesday, May 22nd 2024
Race 4: Native Trail @ Darley BM72 2130m – 2:35pm (AEST)
(7) Thought Provoking $8.50/$2.80: 6YO mare who hasn’t been disgraced with her last two runs over the wet track. She is rock hard fit now, but hoping she has pulled up well after the most recent Heavy run. This distance looks achievable with a previous second over this trip. Draws a tricky gate, but expect her to get in behind the leaders and saving her energy for a late attack. Looks value here and gets in nicely with weight. Value pick.
(13) Bellets High $5.00: 3YO who was terrific in his first three outings, but has struggled since. May be a little too far here, so prefer to watch this time. Early market support suggest he is ready though. Rock hard fit.
(2) Nordic Pride $61.00/$13.00: 7YO who has been far from his best of late, but if he turns up he is the roughie of the field. Likes the wet and gets a 2kg claim.
(7) Thought Provoking E/W
$8.50/$2.80 (1 Unit)
Race 5: Maurice At Arrowfield BM64 1100m - 3:10pm (AEST)
(6) Llanddwyn $5.50/$2.00: 3YO filly who we liked last week, but was scratched. James McDonald gets back into the saddle now and she draws pole position which gives her the chance to dictate the race. Early support suggests she is primed. Match fit, goes well.
(2) Perennial $3.40: The early favourite of the race who boasts a nice resume. He has previously won in this grade carrying 59kg over 900m sprint and it was an easy watch. Gets that same weight here with a 3kg claim, but out to 1100m. Draws well and expect him to be around the mark here.
(10) Pink Cashmere $7.50: 4YO mare from the Maher stable with a nice booking of Collett in the saddle. First up run today, but has had three trials with the most recent being handy. Worth thought.
(6) Llanddwyn E/W
$5.50/$2.00 (1U/2U)
Race 6: Star Turn @ Vinery Stud BM72 3:45pm (AEST)
(5) Ringarosa $10.00/$3.00: 5YO mare who looked back to her best in her first up run over the heavy. Enjoys the wet track and should only be fitter for this run now. Key jockey booked with a nice gate. Looks a nice each way bet against these ones.
(4) Fleetwood $3.70: Resuming 3YO with the deadly combo of Cummings and McDonald. He has a great first up record and record over this trip. Comes in off two trials and looks ready to fire. Draws a nice gate and will be a main danger.
(9) Accredited $5.00: 4YO who is 2 from 2 over this track and when resuming. Jockey has all three career wins on him. Prefer him on a dry track, but should be there in the finish.
(5) Ringarosa E/W
$10/$3.00 (0.5U/1U)
