Racing at Sandown continues with the midweek slot headed our way, spanning eight races to be starting at 1pm (AEST) and wrapping up at 5:05pm. The expectation that it’ll be run on a soft6 looks to be on the money.
The rail will be out 11m around the entire circuit so watch closely for any leading patterns throughout the day but on pace runners should be benefited. Also, please be sure to head over to our Racing Tips page for more free tips right around the country this Wednesday.
Sandown Racing Tips: Wednesday, April 10th 2024
Race 6: Lockettled.Au (3:55pm AEST)
(2) Naiconi found bother over the break which has delayed her return to the track. All things ticked off now though we expect her to run a drum first up and reward favourite backers in the process over the 1200m start.
(6) Elderberry is building a presentable record and that can be improved upon here. Dashed away when push came to shove at Pakenham, now has the Melbourne Cup winning jockey onboard in the steer which only enhances his chances.
(10) Smart Deel is seemingly way over the odds at first glance. Has struck a purple patch of form winning two on the trot at Geelong and Bendigo, looks to be tested here on paper but not without some hope.
(2) Naiconi
$3.30 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Senet Gambling Law Experts (4:30pm AEST)
(3) Margerten did a lot of things wrong last start and still poked her head into minor money. If she can clean up her act out of the gate and find a better spot in transit, she’ll be lengths closer this time around to pounce.
(5) Grinzinger Ace has unsurprisingly been found in early markets considering the rich vein of form she is in. Took care of business comfortably at Horsham last outing and measures up handily here to repeat the dose.
(6) Vail Mountain put pain to them last start over the 1300m finish at Bendigo three weeks back to justify the short quote. Straps up again as the markets on-topper for the Hayes camp, this time with some meat on the bone.
(3) Margerten E/W
$6/$2 (1 Unit)
Race 8: Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit (5:05pm AEST)
(2) Rock The Bar will have to contend with weight on its back but finds the inform Jamie Kah in the saddle to pilot. The Flemington trained Gelding is no doubt the class horse of the race and that looks enough for it to prevail here.
(5) Ersa had excuses last start which can be marked down as a forgive run, strips up fitter for the mile where 3yo does her best work. Another one for the Hayes team who will be to give connections something to smile about.
(8) Barby’s Doll looms as one of the better chances amongst the 10-horse field with the punters siding with that assessment in terms of early money. May only be beaten by the draw but backing Mark Zahra to negate that safely.
(2) Rock The Bar
$3.50 (1 Unit)
