We’re now well into the second round of the NBA Playoffs and all four series are still alive with all eight teams winning at least once so far. We now turn our attention to the two-game slate on Wednesday which begins with the Pacers at Knicks, followed by the Timberwolves at Nuggets. We bring you our best bets for both games below!

NBA Playoffs Betting Tips: Wednesday, May 15th 2024
Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks
Madison Square Garden, 10am (AEST)
Series Score: Series tied at 2-2
Both teams successfully defended home court through the first four games of this intriguing Knicks vs Pacers series, which means we’re tied at 2-2 as we head to Madison Square Garden in New York for Game 5! The first three games of the series were all decided by clutch moments/runs late in the fourth quarter, but that certainly wasn’t the case in Indiana in Game 4 where the Pacers absolutely ran riot right from the opening tip. Outside shooting was the key difference in their recent game, with the Pacers hitting on 14/31 (45%) of their threes, whereas the Knicks could only connect on 7/37 (19%) of their shots from deep. A silver lining out of the recent loss for the Knicks is their starting 5 actually got to rest up at stages, particularly in the second half. Coach Tom Thibodeau is infamous for running his key guys into the ground, and he’s certainly given his stars all they can handle to date. They’ll likely have some more juice for Wednesday’s game and will also have another natural boost being back on their home deck. Neither side has faltered at home through four games in this series and I expect the home dominance to continue in Game 5.

Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets
Ball Arena, 12:30pm (AEST)
Series Score: Series tied at 2-2
What a wild series it’s been between the Timberwolves and the Nuggets and we’re only four games in! The Timberwolves shocked the world by winning not one but two games in Denver, and many pundits thought we were on route to a sweep of the defending champs; however, the Nuggets responded emphatically by taking back both games in Minnesota. And just like that, we’re tied at 2-2 and head back to Denver for Game 5 where the Nuggets will attempt to be the first team in this series to ‘hold serve’. Nikola Jokic recently received his third MVP in four seasons and he certainly played like an MVP on Monday. He poured in 35 points (series-high) and completely took over the game in the second half. Aaron Gordon also played out of his mind and nearly finished the game flawless form the field (27 points on 11/12 FG), and Jamal Murray (19 points) also played his role. The whole Nuggets core is now back in business and that spells danger for the Timberwolves who had complete control of this series only a few days ago. The underdog has had a field day winning in this series to date, but I expect the home team to finally secure a win on Wednesday.
