Toronto Raptors at Denver Nuggets
Ball Arena, 12pm AEDT
The Raptors enjoyed a little bit of success in February where they won five of their 12 games but are back to their losing ways in March. They’ve lost 4/5 so far this month and their only win came against the heavily undermanned Hornets by five points, while one of their losses was by a whopping 41 points against the Pelicans. Most recently, the Raptors lost in overtime to another struggling team in the Trail Blazers, which pretty much sums up where they’re at right now. Making matters worse, they’ll be without almost all of their starting 5 on Tuesday when they head to Denver to take on the defending champs. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are rolling right now with eight wins in their last nine games and their only loss during that span was against a quality outfit in the Suns in overtime three starts back. Unlike their upcoming opponents, the Nuggets are healthy right now and are only missing some end of the bench guys. All things considered, this one has the makings of an absolute blood bath and I’d be surprised if the Nuggets don’t win this by 20+ points.

Boston Celtics at Portland Trail Blazers
Moda Center, 1:30pm AEDT
The Celtics will continue their lengthy road trip when they make a stopover in Portland on Tuesday to face the Trail Blazers. The Celtics haven’t had much success on this trip to date with only one win from three outings, although their losses were against some quality opposition in the Nuggets and the Cavaliers by a combined seven points. Last time out the Celtics spoiled the party in Phoenix with a 10-point win over the Suns who were without Devin Booker. In terms of the Celtics current health, only Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday are currently unavailable due to injury. Elsewhere, the Trail Blazers have a whole host of outs on Tuesday with the likes of Malcolm Brogdon, Shaedon Sharpe, and Jerami Grant unlikely to suit up. This leaves the Blazers extremely young in their starting 5 and it certainly hasn’t been a recipe for success of late. They’ve lost 12 of their last 15 games and it’s hard to see them getting anywhere near the lead-leading Celtics in that type of form.
