NBA Betting Tips: Tuesday, January 23rd 2024
Cleveland Cavaliers at Orlando Magic
Kia Center, 11am AEDT
The Cavaliers head to Orlando on Tuesday to take on the Magic in a juicy Eastern Conference matchup. The Cavs have been in terrific form of late and are currently riding a season-high seven-game win streak. Most recently they destroyed the Hawks by 21 points in their first game of this road trip. Elsewhere, the Magic have found wins hard to come by of late but were able to find one last start at home against the Heat. They won that clash by 18 points to snap a two-game losing streak in front of their fans. The Magic defeated the Cavs in their most recent battle in Orlando, but the Cavs certainly weren’t in the type of form they currently find themselves in. Aside from their loss last time, the Cavs have dominated the Magic in recent times and are well poised to bounce back with a win against them on Tuesday.

Boston Celtics at Dallas Mavericks
American Airlines Center, 12:30pm AEDT
The Celtics were 20-0 on their home deck this season before succumbing to the defending champion Nuggets two games back, but were able to immediately bounce back last start with a road win against the Rockets. The Celtics will stay on the road this week with their next stop being in Dallas to take on the Mavericks. Meanwhile, the Mavs were soundly beaten in their last outing by the Lakers, making it three losses from their past five games. The Mavs have struggled for consistency both in games and from game to game so far in 2024, which has seen them slide down the standings in the West. Needless to say, they face another big test on Tuesday and I can’t see them stacking up well against the Celtics on current form.
Boston Celtics -2.5

Chicago Bulls at Phoenix Suns
Footprint Center, 1pm AEDT
The Bulls have been in solid form since they decided to start shopping Zach Lavine in the trade market, instead going with Coby White at the point guard position. They enter Tuesday’s slate on a two-game win streak and have also saluted in six of their past eight games. Most recently, the Bulls took care of business at home against the heavily undermanned Grizzlies. Likewise, the Suns have been firing on all cylinders over the past couple of weeks and will enter this matchup on a five-game win streak. They were too strong for the Pacers on Monday with Kevin Durant dropping a 40-piece. The Suns big three are finally healthy and have been causing all sorts of headaches for opposing teams during this win streak, and I expect them to add another strong win to their collection on Tuesday.
Phoenix Suns -5.5
