Atlanta Hawks at Indiana Pacers
Gainbridge Fieldhouse, 11am AEDT
Meeting for the second time this season on Saturday are a pair Eastern Conference rivals in the Hawks and the Pacers. Their lone meeting to date came in November and resulted in a record-breaking 157-152 win in regulation for the Pacers. Tyrese Haliburton was the star of the show for the winning side with 37 points and 16 assists and also comes into this particular meeting in extraordinary form, as do his Pacers who have won five on the spin. Their current win streak is the best they’ve achieved since 2019 and has seen them leap into fifth spot in the East and only one win outside the top four. On current form, the Pacers deserve to be shorter favourites at home against the Hawks who are just 14-19 this season, which places them 10th in the East.

Los Angeles Clippers at New Orleans Pelicans
Smoothie King Center, 12pm AEDT
Two teams in terrific form will come together at noon on Saturday with the Clippers heading to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans. Both teams are riding four-game win streaks and will be full of confidence against this meeting, which will be just their second of the season to date. The Pelicans had the edge in their first matchup in Los Angeles, taking down the Clippers by 10 points in a wire-to-wire win. The Clippers are a very different looking team to what they were back in November, although they still hold a negative record away from home (7-8) and will have a lot of road games coming up in their schedule. Meanwhile, the Pelicans are a decent 12-7 on their home deck and will be at almost full strength on Saturday. At even odds, I’m happy to be with the home side here.

Miami Heat at Phoenix Suns
Footprint Center, 2pm AEDT
The Heat will head to Phoenix on Saturday to take on the Suns in what’s the first clash between these sides in 12 months. The Heat will be on the fifth game of their current road trip which they’ve split down the middle so far at 2-2. They were able to knock off the out-of-form Lakers last start despite being without their star player in Jimmy Butler yet again. Elsewhere, the Suns were no match for the Clippers last time out when going down by nine points at home. That loss put an end to a four-game winning run for the Suns who are expected to be with all of their Big 3 on Saturday. With the Suns starting to get healthy and finding some of their better form, I expect them to be able to take down the Heat at home in this one.
Phoenix Suns -3.5
