The Valley will racing on Friday night and with a warm night predicted at Melbourne, racegoers will be keen to follow the race night. The first starts at 6:15pm (AEDT) and gallopers will run on a Good surface. There are some good races on the night and my three best bets are below!

Moonee Valley Racing Tips: Friday, February 21st 2025
Race 1: The PKF Valley Summer Middle Distance Series - 6:15pm (AEDT)
(2) Howlin Rain gets the run of the race in this I reckon and will sit behind Georgie Get Mad in the run. Howlin Rain has slightly better form on the Dry than Georgie and I think that will be the key. From barrier 1, Stockdale will position Howlin Rain behind the leader (Georgie) and get it and get her over the final 100m. He rises in weight but he is in fine form and is going for four wins in a row.
(1) Georgie Get Mad was unlucky last start at this track and Pagan has decided to back her up here again after Acid Wash got the win from off the speed in protest. She should lead but the track may be too dry.
(3) Slane is fitter now and he likes this distance. Michael Dee rides for the first time and I reckon he will position the Jusufovic gelding outside the leader. Third up and the stable will want a top 3 finish with fitness on his side.
(2) Howlin Rain WIN
$2.80 (2 Units)
Race 2: The Hygain Valley Summer Middle Distance Series - 6:45pm (AEDT)
(2) Miss Tarzy hasn’t won in a year but this is surely her race. But to be safe we will go each-way but she does seem to love The Valley and the distance is ideal. She hasn’t been getting beaten too far in recent efforts and with it being her third try over the 2000m in recent times, she is one of the fittest horses in the race. She likes Dry ground and Jalyah Kennedy will settle her midfield here compared to third last like she was last run. The only worry is being caught three wide.
(8) Junebug will settle handy and look the winner at some stage. Going for three on the bunce but this is harder.
(1) Fagin has won 2 from 2 over this track & distance so has to be included. Forget last start at Flemington when he was unlucky and Stackhouse stays on which is a good result.
(2) Miss Tarzy Each-Way
$4.80/$1.70 (1 Unit)
Race 7: Manhari Torney Night Cup - 9:15pm (AEDT)
(8) Deakin for Stokes and Stackhouse should run well here on the back of a good 2nd at Flemington a month ago when odds on fav. He had a rest and has since trialed well at Pakenham he has won over 2500m before so that should be no issue. Stokes knows when stayers are right and it will be a good performance if he gets him to win after a freshen up and few training changes.
(6) Garachico is in form after winning well at Caulfield but this is a touch harder. He has never raced at The Valley and has never won over 2500m. Michael Dee rides for the first time.
(1) First Immortal might settle behind the leader in this after drawing barrier 2 and he may get a charmed run in transit. He likes Good ground and likes this distance. Shinn stays on and he does raise slightly in weight again.
(8) Deakin WIN
