Match Preview
The Knights have been in the news this week for off-field reasons; the signing of a recruit ahead of next season is sure to create an interesting dynamic. Remaining on the field, they were victorious against an understrength Tigers outfit in Round 1 by a narrow 2-point margin. A poor completion rate (64%) halted their momentum; a more complete effort was expected given the circumstances. Still, they are favourites for this match.
The Dolphins were impacted by circumstances beyond their control ahead of their Round 1 loss to the Rabbitohs, as they were on the wrong side of a 2-point margin. They too were impacted by an inferior completion rate (75%) but there were positives to take away from the match.
The effort of each team in Round 1 makes finding a winner challenging. More was expected of the Knights whereas the Dolphins had excuses and should only improve. As it is still early in the season, it is recommended that the stake be kept lower than normal. More evidence is needed before investing on either of these teams with confidence.
The Knights are the preferred option, but it is likely that the Dolphins could cause an upset. With that in mind, it is best to invest around this game being tight. All their matches (4 games) are also 7.5 points, with just one by more than 8 points.
