Hawthorn vs Richmond

Hawthorn continued their unlikely assault towards a finals berth last weekend when they absolutely demolished the Blues to the tune of 74 points in front of a stunned MCG crowd. The Hawks have now won nine of their last 11 games and can all but lock in a top 8 spot with a win on Sunday.
The Hawks pressure gauge was through the roof again last weekend and that’s been a hallmark of their storm up the ladder. And if not for a couple of late fades against the Power and most recently the Giants, the Hawks could’ve already booked a spot in September.
In no real shock to anyone following the game, the Hawks have decided to remain unchanged from the side that flogged the Blues last weekend.
Meanwhile, Richmond’s season couldn’t come to an end any earlier. They’ve been limping for a while now and will have one eye on their closing fixture next weekend. They were comfortably beaten by a bottom six side in the Saints last weekend by 48 points (51-99).
Adam Yze and his coaching staff have opted for three changes at selection this week. Samson Ryan, Kaleb Smith, and Thomson Dow will make way for the more favoured Jacob Blight, Jack Ross, and Matthew Coulthard.
Match Prediction: Admittedly, I was a little surprise the line for this game was so large considering it was one I was very keen on attacking before the odds were released. However, I do believe this has the makings of a bloodbath like the odds suggest. The Hawks are playing for a spot in the top 8 and percentage may very well come into play. I can see them absolutely belting the Tigers here.
