Flemington will host Saturday racing in Victoria this week and with very little rain around for this time of year, runners will be still running on a Good surface. The first race kicks off at 11:50am (AEST), and the first of three best bets comes up in Race 2.

Flemington Racing Tips: Saturday, June 8th 2024
Race 2: RDA Horsham Jan Croser Plate - 12:25pm (AEST)
(3) Belle Et Riche can get a long way back in her races but with a bigger home straight here she does get more time to wind up. She ran on well at The Bool on Cup Day but was on the wrong part of the track but a return to headquarters where she is 1-1-1 over the track & distance should see her strong to the line. She gets another jockey change with Gaudray on, and she is in good form. She likes this distance and she is overdue for a win.
(4) Fancify will likely come across from barrier 10 and lead this. It’s her first try over the track & distance but she is another who likes this distance (unbeaten).
(9) Moor Mumm ran on well at this track last time and the extra 200m looks like it will be ideal. She likes Dry tracks and Kennedy rides well on her.
(3) Belle Et Riche E/W
$7.50/$2.60 (1 Unit)
Race 4: RDAV Sally Francis Plate - 1:35pm (AEST)
(3) Quantum Cat hasn’t won on a Good track but all wins have come on the Synthetic. He stormed home at Randwick last start to just miss and he drops 2kg from that effort. He has won twice previously over the 2500m so the distance is no issue and after three runs in from a spell, he should be 100 percent fit and ready to win. In the run he will likely get back again but Flemington looks like it will suit.
(7) Mirzann has been costly to punters having lost his last couple after starting fav. The rise in distance looks like it will suit but there is still a query with him running on Dry ground. If i changes to Soft then he has a bigger chance.
(4) Berkshire Breeze goes good on Dry tracks and a rise in distance looks ideal. He is fresh but did win a Cranbourne trial in good fashion five weeks ago.
(3) Quantum Cat
$3.40 (2 Units)
Race 9: RDA Oaklands Trophy - 4:34pm (AEST)
(9) Legio Ten goes well at Flemington and goes well when second up from a spell. At Scone last start he ran on well after settling near last and he will benefit from that outing. He drops 3kg from that effort and the wide barrier 15 might be an advantage late in the afternoon. Stackhouse hops on for the first time and the Godolphin owned gelding doesn’t really favour a Good or Soft track so a late afternoon downgrade won’t matter.
(5) Our Last Cash has a good winning strike rate and gets to his favourite distance here. The worry is the 3.5kg weight rise but he has won twice here previously.
(15) William Thomas gets too far back in his race and probably isn’t suited to shorter straights anymore. He gets a big one in Flemington and at $6.50 a Place, is worth a play because he likes the distance but has never won here.
(9) Legio Ten E/W
$6.50/$2.35 (1 Unit)
