BBL Heat vs Sixers Betting Tips
Gabba, Sunday 29th December, 7.15pm
Heat
The Heat dropped their first game of the season on Thursday night as they went down to the Scorchers in Perth by 33 runs. Bowling first, they kept Perth to a manageable 6/162, headlined by a great spell from paceman Spencer Johnson (4/20).
In reply, the Heat were bowled out in the 20th over for just 132 as only Matt Renshaw (36) and Max Bryant (35) made double digit scores. A disappointing loss for the Heat, but at 2-1 and in 5th place on the BBL table, they are still in great shape moving forward.
Predicted XI: Tom Banton, Colin Munro, Nathan McSweeney, Matt Renshaw, Jimmy Peirson, Max Bryant, Paul Walter, Xavier Bartlett, Spencer Johnson, Mitch Swepson, Matt Kuhnemann
Sixers
The Sixers are a perfect 3-0 to start the season and sit atop the BBL table. They were too good for the Satrs in their last matchup, chasing down a huge total with balls to spare. Bowling first, they allowed the Stars to pile on 9/194 off their 20 overs as Jackson Bird was the pick of the bowlers with 3/35.
In reply, it was Englishman James Vince who stole the show, smashing an unbeaten 101 off just 58 balls to lead the Sixers to a dominant eight wicket victory. With Sean Abbott still unavailable due to international duties, the Sixers will likely go in unchanged here.
Predicted XI: James Vince, Josh Philippe, Jack Edwards, Moises Henriques, Jordan Silk, Lachlan Shaw, Hayden Kerr, Ben Dwarshuis, Akeal Hosein, Todd Murphy, Jackson Bird
Prediction
Pretty hard to look past the Sixers form at the moment, even if they are on the road here. Their batting has looked outstanding in their first three games, chasing down big totals with relative ease in each win.
The Sixers have a dominant 14-7 head to head record against the Heat and a 7-2 record in games at the Gabba. Back them to win here at decent odds.
