Bendigo Racing Tips: Saturday, April 13th 2024
Race 4: Immix, Metal Recycled Right (1:45pm AEST)
(11) Goldenstatewarrior looms as the most intriguing runner of the race and one I’m more than happy to side with. As an Ex European galloper this imported stayer - now resuming for a leading stable - can kickstart her time down under in winning style.
(16) Coco Sun can sit handy in enough from the middle alley and track nicely into the race with the apprentice jockey on board and the claim to go with it. Not without a chance if the favourite puts a hoof wrong.
(2) Tommy will have to negate drawing the carpark over the mile here with a tricky box but the long Bendigo back straight to sort through things is in the Geldings favour. An early market mover with its price trimmed up from the double figure quote.
(11) Goldenstatewarrior
$4.40 (1 Unit)
Race 5: Balgownie Estate Bendigo Hcp (2:20pm AEST)
(1) Skybird is a promising filly that was beaten for the first-time last start running a place at Caulfield before he was spelled. Carries weight here but it’s hard to knock the class the Ballarat trained 3yo possesses.
(7) Extremely Rowdy saluted at Cranbourne and Pakenham before being sent to the paddock for a freshen up. Progressive type that has trialled well in preparation for this and can walk away with the chocolates.
(10) Moby Dick is the obvious selection but the short price on offer isn’t something I’d like to entertain. Impressive unbeaten record that can grow to an even hat-trick with only the 54kg on his back.
(1) Skybird E/W
$9/$2.50 (1 Unit)
Race 10: Filkel (5:25pm AEST)
(10) Chorlton Lane resumes for the Ciaron Maher stable with a strong first up record on her side. Question marks surrounding how the track will be playing this late in the day but a definite winning chance to go home a winner.
(2) Bel Air has to contend with a wide gate but may find firmer ground out in the middle of the track. Strong form around her with the likes of Jennilala a length and a half away two back which holds the 4yo in pretty good shape for this.
(15) Extratwo presents as a top hope amongst the big field with Harry Coffey in the saddle hoping for a clean exit out of the stall after first up troubles. Will be right in the mix if she’s close enough on terms to pounce.
(10) Chorlton Lane
$3.40 (2 Units)
