AFL Round 17 in the 2024 season is jam-packed with mouth-watering matchups. First up on Friday night we head to the home of footy where Collingwood and Essendon will do battle in a blockbuster. Saturday's action will see five matches play out, with Geelong vs Hawthorn looking like the pick of the bunch. Sunday in the AFL we have three games on the slate, with a couple of interesting clashes among them.

The Cats and the Hawks renew their rivalry with a clash in Geelong in the twilight Saturday fixture. The Hawks are in fantastic form although the Cats are also coming off a great win.
The Giants have been poor in 2024 since their hot start and now face an extremely tough challenger in the Blues. This one has sneaky match of the round potential.
The Dockers are surging up the ladder and now have a seemingly easy kill on their hands in the form of the Tigers. Surely they take care of business here?
Sunday July 7th
The Demons' season is hanging on a knifes edge but they'll head into this clash with the Eagles as the clear favourites. This one will be a fascinating watch to start the day.
The Saints have had a season to forget and injuries to key players are only making things all the more difficult. They now have the ladder-leading Swans coming to town on Sunday.
Round 17 concludes with an important fixture that pits the Lions against the Crows at the Gabba. It's a fun way to end what should be a terrific round in the AFL.
