2024 AFL Round 11 Tips
Thursday May 23rd
The round begins with a battle between two in-form sides in the Bulldogs and the Swans. Can the Swans pull off yet another big win to strengthen their lead at the top of the ladder?
Friday May 24th
The Dockers and the Magpies will lock horns out west in the Friday night fixture in Round 11. The Dockers are in desperate need of a legitimate scalp to stake their finals claim, and who better to knock off than the reigning premiers?
Saturday May 25th
The Power pulled off the great escape last weekend to record a big comeback win against the Hawks. Surely they’ve learned their lesson and will come out of the blocks with a stronger intent against another bottom half side this weekend?!
The Suns flexed their scoring prowess when pouring on 164 points against the Cats last weekend. They now take on another decent side in the Blues who will be desperate to bounce back after a couple of poor performances.
After starting the season in scintillating form, the Cats now find themselves on a three-game skid. Avoiding four defeats on the spin certainly won’t be easy on Saturday night when they take on another top tier outfit in the Giants.
Dreamtime at the ‘G has a bit of a different feel about it in 2024 compared to recent editions. The Bombers are now by far the fancied team in this matchup and will be keen to inflict further pain on the undermanned and out-of-sorts Tigers.
Sunday May 26th
Hawthorn will be licking their wounds after coughing up a 41-point lead away against the Power last weekend. Regardless, they’ve been in terrific form over the past month and will fancy their chances of pushing the Lions all the way in this one.
The Demons came home empty-handed from their trip out West when succumbing to the up-and-coming Eagles. They’ll get a couple of key troops back for their Round 11 clash with the Saints and will start as the firm favourites at the MCG.
Round 11 will conclude in South Australia with a fixture that pits the Crows against the Eagles. Just a couple of weeks ago the Crows would fancy their chances of a 10 goal win in this fixture, but a recent Eagles resurgence means we could be in for a tight battle!
