It's near impossible to figure out what the Adelaide Crows are going to dish up. They have been the biggest disappointment of 2024 after such a promising 2023. They looked ready to take the next step, play Finals and be a potential Premiership threat, but they just haven't been able to get going in 2024 and the big negative is that they haven't made the Adelaide Oval a fortress. That said, they showed good signs against the Swans a couple of weeks ago and led by 20 at one stage before getting blown away late. Repeat effort of that here, and you'd have to think they will go close to knocking off the Giants, who are on the ropes and for mine, are gettable.
The GWS Giants were humming to start 2024 but the wheels have fallen off and they look all but gone for 2024, certainly as a Premiership threat, but are going to be in a battle to make the eight. There were glimpses of life against the Swans last week, but for the most part, they were really poor, with the loss of Sam Taylor due to a busted nut being quite evident, with the Swans forward line wreaking havoc. They need to win the midfield battle in order to be any chance because if the Crows win that battle, I think the Adelaide forward line will cause bad headaches for the Giants back six.
Match Prediction: I think the value clearly lies with Adelaide. They have been disappointing in 2024, but I thought they showed signs of life against the Swans and had them on the ropes at stages, so if they bring that form here, I think they'll be winning.
