PGA Tour: Fortinet Championship Betting Tips
Thursday 14th - Sunday 17th September
In an attempt to clean up the scheduling, the PGA Tour has opted to dub the seven tournaments before the New Year the FedEx Cup Fall. In the change, players won’t be competing for FedEx Cup points during these seven events, instead they’ll be competing for the remaining spots in the elevated events in 2024. The top 50 finishers in the FedEx Cup last season have already qualified for these elevated events and the top players from the United States and Europe are currently preparing for the Ryder Cup, meaning the fields for these pre-Christmas events might be a little thin.
The Field
Justin Thomas, who narrowly missed qualifying for the FedExCup Playoffs, is making a return to competitive play. Following his T12 finish at the Wyndham Championship, he currently ranks 71st in the FedExCup standings. This marks his first tournament appearance since then as he gears up for the Ryder Cup, where he was chosen as a captain's selection.
Six golfers, including Max Homa, who secured positions in the top 50 of the FedExCup standings, are participating in the Napa event. The remaining players in this group consist of Cam Davis, Sahith Theegala, Andrew Putnam, Brendon Todd, and Eric Cole.
Max Homa will be looking for his third straight win in the Fortinet Championship and become just the 10th man to win a tournament three straight years.

The Silverado's original course, which opened its doors in 1955, is currently referred to as the North Course. Over the years, the North Course has served as the venue for various PGA Tour events, notably including the Kaiser International Open Invitational, held from 1968 to 1976, and the Anheuser-Busch Golf Classic, which took place from 1977 to 1980.
Betting Tips
Max Homa ($8.00/Top 10 $2.05)
Hard to look past the big dog here as he looks to complete the three-peat at Fortniet. Homa has been in solid form of late, finishing in the top 21 in his last six straight starts including top 10 in his last three. Short odds but should be in the mix come Sunday afternoon.
Chez Reavie ($56/Top 40 $2.00)
Like a player with plenty of course knowledge and there is arguably none more suited than Reavie in this category. The World No.84 has teed it up at Silverado in nine straight seasons, making eight cuts and finishing in the top 25 four times. Had a rough start to the 2022-23 season, but came home strong making nine of his last 10 cuts.
