Wimbledon Night 4 Betting Tips
Marcus Giron vs Alex Molcan
Although it is a little difficult to get a long term read on Molcan on the surface given he has such little experience, I will be opposing him today with American Marcus Giron.
Giron is coming off a strong first round win over Holger Rune, winning in straight sets without dropping serve for the entirety of the match, finishing with 29 winners and 20 unforced errors. Ager It’s been a patchy year for the American, however his fortunes look to have turned the corner somewhat at the commencement of the grass win. Giron notched wins over Van De Zandschulp and McDonald in three sets in Mallorca, bookended with three set losses to Auger-Aliassime and Tsitsipas. Not the worst form, even if FAA exited Wimbledon round 1 at the hands of Cressy.
Molcan was solid without being spectacular in round 1, taking down an out-of-sorts Pedro Martinez 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-1. The scoreboard flattered Molcan a touch early, as he was able to hold serve six times through the first three sets in games where he faced a break point. The consistency in which he allowed opportunities in the early stages of the match is a slight concern, and given Giron has the better form lines through the small grass sample, I am going to side with the American here.
