2024 AFL Round 18 Tips
Friday July 12th
Round 18 begins on Friday night with a blockbuster clash between the Magpies and the Cats at the MCG. You can expect a full house at the home of footy for this one!
Saturday July 13th
Super Saturday kicks off with two 1:45pm (AEST) clashes, with one of those being in Tassie for the Hawks vs Dockers. A lot is riding on the line for both clubs in this tasty matchup.
The other 1:45pm (AEST) fixture takes place in Sydney where the Swans will be looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses. Surely they don't fall to the Roos here?
The Bulldogs were insipid against the Power last weekend and will need to make amends against the Blues to keep their finals hopes alive. Meanwhile, the Blues also have a point to prove on Saturday.
The Crows couldn't match it with the Lions last weekend but get a seemingly easy kill at home against the Saints on Saturday night. However, the Saints are coming off their best performance of the season.
The Demons will be without Max Gawn on Saturday night which puts the Bombers in the box seat to record back-to-back wins against Victorian rivals. Can they show maturity and get the job done?
Sunday July 14th
The Suns road woes continued against the Kangaroos who they fell to by a couple of points in Round 17. Thankfully, they return to People First Stadium where they're yet to lose this campaign.
The Tigers now sit on the bottom of the ladder which has been uncharted territory for this club for over a decade. It's hard to see them leapfrogging anyone this weekend when they host the Giants.
Round 18 concludes on Sunday evening with a clash out west between the Eagles and the Lions. The Eagles parted ways with Adam Simpson mid week - will this lead to a more inspired performance?
