Welcome to our harness racing preview and betting tips for Gloucester Park on Tuesday, April 23rd.
There's just six races on tonight's card and with several short-priced favourites, we've picked out two betting opportunities from the meeting below.
Gloucester Park Harness Tips
Race 1 – 7:16pm AEST
Mystic Falls is the odds-on favourite to kick off a small six-race card and she gets her chance to break through for a rare win. It is her first go over the 2536m and she won’t be used to leading which could make her a risk. Allwoods Rocknroll has better gate speed than Mystic Falls should they try and cross at the start. He can run a quicker last half on average than the mare also and from barrier three, he should map close to the speed which makes him a threat in the race. He doesn’t get beat far when he races in the first half of the field and Michael Grantham is driving, so happy to back him.

Race 6 – 9:49pm AEST
The last race is a breath of fresh air on a night that is dominated by short-priced favourites. Glowing Report should lead and the 6YO gelding trained by John Milentis has been consistent over the past few months. Since the start of February, he has the following numerical form – 2355538. His average beaten margin is 9.3m which is good for this type of race. Two starts ago he made a three-wide move with cover to finish 4m away from Jilliby Jake and Combat Crusade. With the chance to lead in a race that shouldn’t have any real pressure applied, Glowing Report is the horse to beat with Deni Roberts driving. He's already been backed in from $3.00 to $2.10. Big watch on Hezgot Fusion Power who has his first run in seven years. He ran seventh in the WA Derby behind Im Victorious and may neesd the run.

Two-leg multi
Class 4YO gelding Ideal Liner resumes from a spell after running eighth in the Golden Nugget won by Ana Malak. This is a massive drop in class and this horse should blow his opposition away if he is 85% fit. Expect him to find the lead at some stage and shake them off in the home straight when asked to extend.
Our Corelli has been a little disappointing after he was dominant back in October as a short-priced occasion a few times. Leading is what he does best and he will do that here. Gary Hall Jnr has to keep Art Tutor in the pocket for as long as possible and Our Corelli should win this event.
