The Path To The Big Game: 2024-25 Kansas City Chiefs
The Chiefs never looked like they were playing their best football throughout the regular season, and still managed to finish with the number 1 seed in the AFC with a 15-2 record. Their only real loss came on the road against the Bills in week 11, going down 30-21.
In the playoffs, the Chiefs had the wild card weekend off, courtesy of their number 1 seed. In the Divisional Round, they hosted the Houston Texans, and whilst the game was relatively tight through 3 quarters (Chiefs 13-12), they always appeared in control, eventually winning 23-14. Next up was the Buffalo Bills, a team that had already beaten the Chiefs during the regular season. In what was another fantastic game of football between these two juggernauts, the Chiefs were once again the team to advance when it mattered most, sneaking home 32-29. Patrick Mahomes was superb, throwing for 245 yards and a touchdown, and rushing for 43 yards and a further two touchdowns, once again highlighting that he is the undoubted best player in the world.
The Chiefs now head into their third straight Super Bowl, and their fifth appearance in the past six years. They have the experience, they have the quarterback, they have the coaching staff. The Path To The Big Game: 2024-25 Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles season has been far more up and down than the Chiefs, but maybe that has given them confidence moving forward that they can come back from setbacks. They started the season 2-2, after some tough losses to the Falcons and Bucs. They then went on a 10-game winning streak, before a loss to the Commanders in week 16 had some people concerned for them. They managed to eek out two more wins to finish the regular season as the #2 seed in the NFC with a tremendous 14-3 record.
A tough wild card matchup with the Packers was their prize, but the Eagles made it look easy in a straightforward 22-10 victory. In the Divisional Round, they once again looked dominant early over the Rams, but the Rams hung around and managed to make a real game of things. If not for a couple of huge Jalen Carter plays late in the fourth quarter, this result could have been quite different. Finally, in the NFC Championship Game, the Eagles got to take on NFC East rivals the Commanders and their rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Eagles were utterly dominant, crushing the Commanders 55-23 on their way to a second Super Bowl in three years.
This will be the Eagles fifth Super Bowl appearance, and third in eight years. They will be looking to win the Super Bowl for just the second time in franchise history. They have the consensus best team in this matchup 1-53, but can they get the job done against the Kansas City Chiefs’ dynasty? I can’t wait to find out!

Eagles vs. Chiefs Prediction & Betting Tips: 2025 Super Bowl
The Chiefs and Eagles last met in week 11 of the 2023 NFL season, with the Chiefs closing as 2.5-point home favourites in the Super Bowl LVII rematch. The Eagles got their revenge, winning 21-17 in a game that the Eagles clearly treated as their Super Bowl last season. After the win, the Eagles season collapsed, and we all know what happened to the Chiefs.
2025 Super Bowl Betting Tips: Pick Against The Spread
As for Super Bowl 59 this week, the Chiefs opened as 1-point favourites on the hypothetical lookahead line, before reopening at 1.5. The spread has stayed around this mark over the entire week and a half it has been open, and it still sits at 1.5. There’s no way this goes to 3 on either side, however I wouldn’t be overly surprised if this closes a pick ‘em. The Eagles closed 2.5-point favourites for Super Bowl LVII, and whilst I’m not sure it gets to 2.5 on the other side again, the Eagles closing short favourites also wouldn’t surprise. I make the Chiefs 0.5-point favourite here, and as should be expected in the Super Bowl, there is no number edge on the spread.

2025 Super Bowl Betting Tips: Game Total
The total is more interesting, given it was 45.5 on the lookahead. This re-opened at 50, a full 4.5-points higher before dropping to 49.5. After both teams displayed tremendous offense last week, so it’s easy to see why this number jumped up, however surely 4 points is too many. I make it between the keys of 44 and 47, so I do like the under here from a numbers standpoint. However, as was seen in Super Bowl LVII, this could get high scoring in a hurry. I’d lean under but can’t bet it here.

Super Bowl Best Bet: The Moneyline Has The Most Value
I believe the best value play on the side or total is to take the underdog to win outright. I know, it’s Patrick Mahomes, it’s Andy Reid, it’s Steve Spagnuolo, but it comes back to the age old saying, you’ve got to lose one to win one. This is the Eagles year to win it, and at plus money I believe it’s the best bet on the board for Super Bowl 59.

Super Bowl Betting Tips: Chiefs vs. Eagles Player Props
Looking toward 2025's Super Bowl prop bets, there are so many available it’s just insane. I’ll keep it simple, and just take a couple of players who I believe will have big games in the Super Bowl.
I’ll start with Eagles tight end Dallas Goedert. Since returning from injury, Goedert has averaged 6 targets, 5 receptions, and 60.75 yards per game. Whilst his receiving yards prop has increased this week, I still like him to go over his receiving yard total of 51.5. The Chiefs have conceded the most yards all season to tight ends, and Goedert gets his here.

Looking towards the Chiefs, I’m going to take a punt at Juju Smith-Schuster to smash his yardage total of 15.5. The Eagles can be targeted over the middle, and JJSS showed last week he can be a target over the middle for Mahomes, particularly if the Eagles take the Bills approach of doubling Kelce. Two receptions and Smith-Schuster will get you a great payout here, and we will look for an even more solid payout of 50+ yards in the big game for the veteran receiver.
