Team Secret vs OG
2023 DPC WEU Tour 3 Division I
Team Secret climbed their way back into the upper division of DPC WEU by winning last split’s second division with a 6-1 record. Secret were too good for second-division teams, but based on what we’ve seen in the first week of WEU Tour 3 Division I, they might not be strong enough to compete with the best from the region.
Last week, Team Secret lost against Team Liquid (0-2) and Gaimin Gladiators (1-2), which isn’t how Secret wanted to start their campaign in the upper division. However, I must note that Secret had to play two of the best teams in the league, so those results might not mean too much.
OG had the same experience in the first week of the tour, with defeats against Tundra Esports (1-2) and Quest Esports, which, while it puts them in the same spot as Secret, is a far more concerning record. And yet, the esports betting sites have OG priced as the favourites for this match.
This bout is tough to predict since we have two solid teams and a very small sample size of games to analyse. But I don’t see how Team Secret deserve to be priced at 2.00, considering they won a map against GG and played a solid game against Team Liquid, whereas OG failed to show anything convincing against two weaker squads. Take Team Secret.

Tundra Esports vs D1 Hustlers
2023 DPC WEU Tour 3 Division I
Tundra Esports were runners-up of WEU Tour 2 Division I, but they couldn’t achieve much at Berlin Major, which they exited in the lower bracket QFs. But in their defence, Tundra got eliminated by Team Liquid, who ended up finishing the event in second place.
Despite not winning a medal, Tundra are still one of WEU’s top teams, and they proved that with a perfect 2-0 record in the first week of the tour. Last week Tundra Esports defeated OG (2-1) and Entity (2-0), both without many issues, so it’s fair to feel optimistic about their chances to compete for the WEU Tour 3 Div I title.
D1 Hustlers made it to the upper division with a runner-up finish in WEU Tour 2 Division II, finishing with a 5-2 record. Their only defeats came against Into the Breach and Ancient Tribe; however, D1 Hustlers also defeated Team Secret, which is nothing to sneeze at. That doesn’t mean that D1 Hustlers are good enough to fight for the DPC WEU Tour 3 Div I throne, but they are good enough to cause some chaos.
D1 Hustlers are priced as 4.00 underdogs to defeat Tundra Esports, which doesn’t look right. Although Tundra Esports are very good, I was impressed with D1 Hustlers and their improvement as a team – and let’s not forget that they nearly defeated Team Liquid on Friday.
I like D1 Hustlers’ chances to win a map against Tundra Esports.

Team Liquid vs Gaimin Gladiators
2023 DPC WEU Tour 3 Division I
Team Liquid and Gaimin Gladiators will play a rematch from the Berlin Major finals when Gaimin Gladiators won 3-1 and established themselves as the current best team in the world. The result of that series looks very one-sided, but it was a much closer match than what the final results suggest.
Liquid have shown enough for me to believe they can defeat Gaimin Gladiators on a good day, but we must remember that Liquid has yet to do so this season. During the last tour, GG defeated Team Liquid 2-0 and then again at the Major, so perhaps GG simply have the right strategy to take down Liquid.
There’s a world where Team Liquid wins, and I have faith in them to put up a fight, so backing Gaimin Gladiators to sweep doesn’t appeal to me. Instead, I prefer over 2.5 maps at 2.20, which looks like a good offer knowing that these are two of WEU’s top squads and that we’re in for a close match.
