FlyQuest vs Team Liquid
LCS 2023 Spring
After six weeks of LCS 2023 Spring Split, FlyQuest are already through to the playoffs with an impressive 11-2 record, but the job is far from over. FlyQuest are closely followed by Cloud9 with 10-3 and Evil Geniuses (9-4), and with five more games left to be played, a lot can change.
Some expected Team Liquid to be in the conversation of LCS 2023 Spring title contenders, but they more than failed to live up to the expectations. With a 5-8 record, Liquid are not only far from the top of the table but also in serious danger of missing the playoffs.
Last week, Team Liquid showed some life and beat the surging Golden Guardians but then lost against TSM. A similar thing happened in the fifth week of the regular season when Team Liquid won against Immortals and lost against 100 Thieves.
This season, Team Liquid haven't proven to me that they're one of the elite LCS teams and, as evident by their record, they're far from catching up to FlyQuest, who are a superior squad.
Team Liquid have shown some flashes this split, and we got to see FlyQuest produce a few unconvincing performances. But I don't expect any surprises on Thursday. Take FlyQuest to win and cover the 6.5 kill handicap.

Golden Guardians vs 100 Thieves
LCS 2023 Spring
Golden Guardians looked unstoppable up until last week when they lost against Team Liquid. But despite that defeat, Golden Guardians are still on a run of eight wins and one loss ahead of their meeting with 100 Thieves.
100 Thieves and Golden Guardians last met on February 17, when Golden Guardians won convincingly. Since then, 100 Thieves have played four games and won just one against Team Liquid but lost against FlyQuest, Cloud9, and Counter Logic Gaming.
A while back, I would argue that 100 Thieves and Golden Guardians are about equally as strong, but their performances this season would suggest otherwise. 100 Thieves look lost in their games, seem to have no plan, and often seem like they lack the talent to compete with other strong LCS squads.
Golden Guardians, on the other side, look like the complete opposite. They are good in team fights, have strong lanes, and are overall a very strong squad – possibly top three in LCS.
Golden Guardians are 1.66 favourites for this match which looks fair. They are strong where 100 Thieves are weak, and unless they completely blunder, Golden Guardians should win convincingly.

Evil Geniuses vs Cloud9
LCS 2023 Spring
Evil Geniuses and Cloud9 are still in the race for LCS 2023 Spring regular season title, but more so Cloud9 who are just one win behind the current leaders, FlyQuest. EG and C9 last met on February 10, when Evil Geniuses won convincingly, but Cloud9 have since improved.
The biggest factor that helped Cloud9 improve was the new mid laner Jang "EMENES" Min-soo, who is playing extremely well for a rookie. And it seems like his addition to the squad has improved the entire roster, so we can definitely expect to see a better version of Cloud9 this Thursday.
Evil Geniuses have been playing well and should be serious title contenders once the playoffs roll around, but I don't feel like they've shown much more than Cloud9 lately. They beat FlyQuest, which is impressive, but EG also lost against Golden Guardians and Dignitas, so as much as I can count on their high ceiling, I have no reason to be fully confident in their chances of winning on Thursday.
I expect a very competitive game between Cloud9 and Evil Geniuses, but not an explosive one. Both teams have a lot to lose, so we should see a slower and more careful approach, resulting in fewer kills.
