NFL Week 14 Betting Picks
New England Patriots at Los Angeles Rams
Friday 12.20pm (AEDT)
Are the Patriots back? After an up and down season to date, Bill Belichick and his men made a statement in Week 13, downing the Los Angeles Chargers 45-0 in one of the most dominant displays of the season. The Patriots racked up 45 points on just 130 total passing yards, while star quarterback Cam Newton added another two rushing touchdowns, taking his season tally to 11, good for third in the league.
The Rams also captured a win in Week 13, one that will no doubt prove to be super important in the context of the NFC West. With the Seahawks going down to the Giants, the Rams now top the division with an 8-4 record and could potentially move one game clear with a win this week given the Seahwks shaky form of late.
Two of the best defences in the league will go at it on Friday morning, with the Rams and Patriots allowing just over 41 points between them this season. The Patriots, in particular, have found their groove defensively over the last few weeks, allowing just 8.5 points per game across their last two games. Back the under here in what should be a defensive slugfest.
Pittsburgh Steelers at Buffalo Bills
Monday 12.20pm (AEDT)
Fantastic matchup here between two teams who will no doubt be competing for the AFC title down the stretch. The Steelers suffered their first loss of the season in Week 13 as they went down to Washington in a shock upset. The loss might have come at a good time for the Steelers though, who can now bounce back and hopefully carry some momentum into the important part of the season.
The Bills captured a super important win in Week 13, downing the Cardinals to stay one game clear atop the AFC east division. They have a 9-3 record but have a tough run home with games against the Steelers, Broncos, Patriots and Dolphins to round out their season. A poor finish to the season could not only see them drop out of the lead in the AFC East, but also out of contention for a wildcard playoff spot.
The Steelers and Bills are both ranked equal 7th in total offence this season, averaging 27.8 points per game each. This one could be a bit of a shootout, much like it was when the Steelers squared off against the Ravens earlier this season. Back the over here.
Baltimore Ravens at Cleveland Browns
Tuesday 12.15pm (AEDT)
Its make or break for the Ravens. Win this game and they put themselves back in the mix for a wild-card playoff spot in the AFC. Lose and they can all but kiss their season goodbye. The Steelers currently sit atop the AFC North division with a near unassailable 11-1 record. The Browns sit in second place at 9-3 while the Ravens are 7-5. Aw in here for the Ravens will insert them back into the hunt for a wild-card spot in the AFC, which is currently being competed for between the Browns, Colts, Raiders and Dolphins.
For the Browns, they can all but secure one of those wild-card spots with a win here. They have won their last four on the trot and are coming off a great win against the Titans in which they put up 41 points on the back 334 passing yards and 4 touchdowns from Baker Mayfield. The Ravens were also solid in Week 13, albeit against a weaker opponent as they downed the Cowboys 17 points.
This has the making to be an absolute shootout as two of the more dynamic offences in the league go at it. When the two teams squared off in Week 1, the Ravens put up 38 points and the Browns have found their offensive groove of late. Back the over here.
