Rosehill Gardens Racing Tips: Saturday, September 21st 2024

Race 1: Vale Graham McNeice Midway BM72 – 11:50am (AEST)

(2) Gold Pattern $9.50/$3.10: 5YO Mare who has won her last two nicely and this doesn’t appear to be much harder on paper. Remains at the mile and Nash stays on. Watch for her late.

(5)  State of America $15.00: Roughie of the field who has ran a few handy races. Several week break, but is talented enough. Over the odds?

(7) Flying Bandit $5.00:  Drifted late first up, but hooned home without winning. Fitter second up and will have plenty of fans. Goes well.

TIP: No Bet

Race 2: Tab Highway Hcp Class 3 – 12:25pm (AEST)

(5) She’s Exotic $2.90 Unbeaten 4YO mare from 3 outings and loves this distance. Draws well and returns off a nice trial. J-Mac jumps in for the first time, must be respected.

(6) Kreon $2.70: 4YO Grey who won by 5L on debut and then returned with excuses in a class 2 at Randwick, but buttered up in a BM66 at Goulbourn winning by 5.5L. Clearly talented, but this is tougher. J-Mac jumped off previously to ride the 5.

(9) Saratoga Power $14.00:  4YO gelding who has showed promise in much easier races. Goes well over this trip and can be a blow out hope? One for the exotics.

TIP: No Bet

Race 3: Peachester Lodge Shoot Out Mile BM88 1600m- 1:00pm (AEST)

(2) St Lawrence $8.00/$2.40: 6YO who has only missed the placings once this prep and gets back into a winnable race with a 2kg claim on board. D-Day?

(6) Bear On The Loose $2.40:  Won well on the heavy over this grade trip 2 back before being plonked last start and finishing 4th. Returns off a short break and back to the mile looks ideal. Nash stays on. Untested on the dry track. Watch the market.

(7) Snowman $6.00: 4YO who was far from disgraced first up at Caulfield over 1400m finished 12th, but only 5L off the winner (ANOTHER WIL) who was pretty handy there. Drops in grade and J-Mac gets into the saddle. Expect only improvement and he won’t be far away.

TIP: No Bet

Race 4: Nick Moraitis Trophy BM78 1400m – 1:35pm (AEST)

(10) Well Timed $4.00: No luck from wide draw last time, but motored home and will only improve out to 1400m now. Nash sticks on and peaking fitness fourth up. The one to beat.

(12) Gitalong $9.00/$3.00: 4YO Gelding who was well supported last start over the 1000m, but had to lug 62kg which clearly played a role. Looks okay out to 1400m now, although untested at distance, but gets back in weight and is an each way hope.

(14) Pure Alpha $6.00: Consistent type who has a nice record over this trip. Gets onto the dry track for the first time and expect a bold run here.

TIP: No Bet

Race 5: James Squire Kingston Town Stakes 2000m – 2:10pm (AEST)

(6) Eliyass $3.80: Overseas 6YO who has been terrific in both runs in Aus winning over 2000m both times. Handy sectionals and will only be fitter third up now with a trial in between runs. 8 wins and 2 seconds from 10 starts, must be respected and draws a nice gate. The one to beat.

(11) Ceolwulf $3.20: Tipped this guy last start after his impressive run first up where he missed the kick, but flew home. Buttered up with a sensational win LS and is ready to go on with it here. Clearly a main danger once again.

(18) Zardozi $6.00: 4YO mare who hasn’t been disgraced on either run back this time and now gets out to 2000m third up which looks ideal. Each way chance.

(6) ELIYASS WIN

$3.80 (2.5 Units)

Race 6: Bill Ritchie Hcp 1400m – 2:45pm (AEST)

(4) Tom Kitten $3.40: The cat I can’t seem to catch, but she was impressive when returning last start winning by 2L. Draws a sticky gate today, but is worth every thought again off that run.

(8) Gringotts $6.00: 5YO who won three in a row last prep, so will have plenty of supporters again this time round. Boasts a terrific record over this trip and is proven first up. Returns with 2 handy trials under his belt too. Value pick.

(11) Chorlton Lane $23.00/$5.50: Roughie of the field who has been racing in some tough races and now gets back onto the good track. Expect him to be around the mark here at big odds.

TIP: No Bet

Race 7: Darley Tea Rose Stakes – 3:20pm (AEST)

(1) Manaal $4.20: 3YO Filly who got the chocolates last start against similar rivals where the weight swing appeared to be the edge. Nice win, but rises to 1400m now and may find the others a touch better over that distance. Top chance though.

(2) Ameena $7.50: Terrific run last start behind Manaal where weight probably evened them out after beating Manaal first up. They get even on weight this time and out to 1400m looks to favour Ameena who was storming home last start and would’ve won if the trip was any further. Draws wide though, so needs luck.

(6) Autumn Glow $1.95: 3YO Filly who has been eye catching on both career runs winning comfortably. Steps up now, but will only be fitter. J-Mac has chosen to jump on, so she must be the best horse. Price too short for me though.

TIP: No Bet

Race 8: 7+ Sport Stakes 1600m – 3:55pm (AEST)

(3) Royal Patronage $6.00: International horse who won well on debut after being soft in the market. Must be respected off that win and against the horses he beat. Fitter second up?

(6) Fangirl $2.20: The very talented mare who was enormous first up where she came from the back to only just miss. She boasted very fast late sectionals there. (top 5 for the meeting). She can only improve second up and gets out to the mile now where she would’ve won if it was that distance last start. Very talented type and this is her race to lose. Goes well.

(7) Zougotcha $4.40: Beat Fangirl last start, but had a much softer run. No knock though on the effort shown and she is also very good second up and over 1600m. Big chance again.

(6) Fangirl WIN

$2.20 (5 Units)

Race 9: Yarraman Park The Shorts 1100m – 4:35pm (AEST)

(3) Stefi Magnetica $13.00: 4YO Mare who returns today after having a terrific prep last time out and topped it off by winning the Stradbroke. Proven first up and goes well over this trip, so must be included.

(6) I Am Me $2.70: Very, Very good win first up – probably the ride of the day. Cannot jump off after that performance and J-Mac decides to jump in which is no concern. Drops 2kg off that first up run and boasts a great record over 1100m. Draws well and will be the main danger against the others here.

(10) Our Kobison $15.00: 5YO who boasts a terrific record and is unbeaten third up. Loves the dry track and gets a nice draw. Roughie of the field here. Exotic play.

(6) I Am Me

$2.70 (3 Units)

Race 10: The Agency Real Estate BM88 1200m – 5:15pm (AEST)

(1) Whinchat $3.70: Resuming 5YO who won 3 from 4 last prep and returns today off three handy trials. He will have to carry top weight, but goes well fresh and draws well where he will take catching.

(3) Moravia $3.70: Nice run when resuming in tougher class only finishing 4L behind I Am Me & Bella Nipotina. Improves second up and is worth thought.

(10) Le Melody $46.00/$9.00: Big Roughie who was pretty good in this grade 2 back finishing second before taking on tough grade LS and failing to fire. Drop in grade looks ideal and could be a sneaky blow out hope.
